Really lovely place to look around if you’re exploring this area. Not very big, 30 mins to look around but there is plenty to bring you to this neighbourhood and the museum is unusual and interesting

A small but interesting museum on Taiwanese puppets. They have an large collection and some good English signs.

2019年7月から2年間休館、工事中とのこと。期限がある改築のようなので2021年の再開館を楽しみに待てばいいのかなとは思う。 ただ改築と言うと昔の風情が懐かしく思えてしまう。「霞海城隍廟」からの短い小路「廟前路」は趣のある小路で、博物館の入っているビルも昔日の迪化街を偲ばせる堂々とした建築物だ。まぁこれらは変わらないけど「紅盒子 Father」(邦題 :台湾街かどの人形劇 )で陳師匠がインタビューを受けていた入り口脇の人形修復室は残るのだろうか。ここ数年は出れなかった3階の露台、ベトナム水上人形劇のプールがあって西寧北路を見下ろすお気に入りの場所だったのだが、どうなるのだろうとか心配をしてしまう。

Went with my wife and 2 year old. Would suggest skipping this one unless you have a particular interest in puppetry.

There are a few puppets to play and a reasonable display covering the history of puppetry. Some displays were poorly maintained or not open. We spent 40 minutes there and saw everything....
