Absolutely lovely afternoon experience. We luckily came in at an empty time an hour before customers came in, and the atmosphere was so quiet and private and lovely, with sunshine from outside and the scent of traditional medicinal herbs and tea everywhere! A pot of tea is 280 (minimum one per adult) and there is a wide selection of Taiwanese oolongs, black teas, green teas and some international flavors. You can scent test all the available teas before committing! The server was so sweet and the tea comes with free hot water for refills. The desserts were perfectly varied and well suites for the tea- such as dried mango, mung bean cakes, crunchy brown sugar crackers, crispy beans, etc~ Downstairs is a lottery shop with high quality beautiful ceramics (including local Hakka Blue products- like their peach and baozi tea sets!), cloth napkins and beautiful retro illustration postcards. Upstairs is the teahouse and connected to it is a costume rental area for Qipao which includes photography- saw quite a few women dressed up there! Read moreIt’s a lovely tea house full of a reminiscent atmosphere. They got various tea collections including those without caffeine. The tea leaves are put into different glass jar so that we can smell their flavors first before deciding which to try.
The desserts are elegant and in traditional Taiwanese style. We are quite satisfied with their sweetness (not too sweet).
The location could be a bit difficult to find. The first floor is a gift shop where displays many interesting cultural and creative commodities derived in Taiwan. Definitely recommend this...
