If I could, 0 rating. As a vegetarian, my visit to Thai Pantry located at Phuket Marriott, Merlin beach was a disappointing and disheartening experience. It's especially disheartening that such an incident occurred at a restaurant under the Marriott hotel brand, known for its high standards. Despite ordering vegetarian dishes, I was served chicken in the fried rice. The head chef admitted to the mistake and offered to replace the dish. This is ridiculous that instead of apologizing they are offering to replace the dish and waive the bill. Also, it raises concerns about the kitchen's attention to detail and staff training. While mistakes can happen, serving the wrong dish, especially when it comes to dietary preferences, is a serious lapse. It prompts questions about the adequacy of the chef's training and the restaurant's quality control. Customers expect a certain level of competence in handling specific dietary requests, and such errors can significantly impact the overall dining experience. As a reputable brand, customers expect a certain level of excellence, and such errors can undermine the overall trust and satisfaction associated with the Marriott name. As it’s essential for the hotel management to address such matters promptly to uphold the brand's reputation and ensure that guests receive the quality service they anticipate, I urged the management to reinforce training to ensure the culinary team meets the expected standards and prevent similar negative experiences for other...

A Truly Exceptional Experience at Thai Pantri My recent visit to Thai Pantri was nothing short of magnificent, delivering one of the most delightful dining experiences I've had in a long time. From the moment we walked in, the atmosphere was welcoming, and the service was impeccable. Service Led by the Wonderful Marina The standout element of the evening was the incredible hospitality provided by the restaurant manager, Marina. Her presence truly elevated the entire meal. Marina greeted us with the most lovely smile and was exceptionally friendly and attentive throughout our visit. She was incredibly helpful with recommendations and navigated the dining room with a professional and genuinely polite demeanor. It's rare to find a manager who combines such warmth with efficiency, and Marina is a true gem. Food Cooked to Absolute Perfection by Chef Orn The food itself was, quite simply, exceptional and delicious. Every dish we ordered was bursting with authentic flavor, fresh ingredients, and presented beautifully. Our profound thanks go to Chef Orn, who is clearly a master of their craft. Chef Orn cooked our food to perfection, ensuring the spice levels were exactly as requested and the textures were spot-on. The quality and depth of flavor in every bite demonstrated true culinary skill. Thai Pantri offers a winning combination of outstanding cuisine and top-tier customer service. We highly recommend this restaurant and look forward to...

Well… That was a meal fit for a King. We ordered Veggie dishes, fish dishes, noodles, rice, curries, the full Monty. I’d recommend the Beef Cheek Curry, you can eat the whole dish with a spoon the beef was that tender. The Crab curry was phenomenal also. Spice levels catered to your liking (we like it very spicy), but they’ll tone it down for those of you who can’t deal with the Chilli. The service was 1st class, they treated you like welcome family, very attentive. Very authentic traditional Thai food presented with care, attention and detail. We are all inclusive so the price didn’t matter but looking at the final bill we were pleasantly surprised. It was cheap in comparison to Thai restaurants we’ve eaten at previously in the UK, and paid triple the cost. It’s worth a trip here if your in town and searching for somewhere to eat with great food, good cocktails, and excellent service, I would highly...

The dishes here are delicious and authentic to the Thai taste. I saw that they host Thai cooking classes and thought it would be a fun experience during our stay at the resort. I was the only one in the class so it felt like a private cooking class with Chef Ning and Chef Cha! I learned how to make Thai Beef Salad, Massaman Curry and a Thai dessert. The dishes were quite simple so definitely only for home cooks, but it was a great opportunity for me to ask them about local Thai ingredients - which ones to buy and bring home. The managers Nina and Marina translated and even sang to me! They were all so lovely. Like being in a homey kitchen with your family. They will set up a table for you to try the dishes afterwards and I was able to invite my husband to join me. I’d like to thank the team, also Lisa and Mook, for a great class and for taking care of us every time we dine there!

Friendly service and some great dishes, some not so great. Rock/mantis shrimp was on of the best! Fresh, not overcooked, and flavorful. Egg omelet was also amazing. The 2 flavor fish was also great. Keep in mind that portions are huge. Some dishes can easily be shared by 2. Try not to order things that overlap with breakfast/lunch buffet because they will taste very similar (more fresh but same ingredients) i.e beef panang and chicken cashew nut. Complementary dish could have been better (deep fried wonton sheets, like at noodle shops) considering the decor and other foods, but no complaints here. Food from the kitchen was quite slow, so arrive and order early if you are hungry. Dishes for kids were quite fast as we send those orders right when we arrived.

Proper Thai flavours and ingredients, cooked with attention to detail. The green curry was unusual, made with fork-tender and tasty beef cheek. The tom yam goong had aromatic herbs and perfect balance. We asked for a “medium” spicy level and they toned the chilli right down. Shrimp cakes were crunchy, not greasy, but also not too shrimpy. Lisa and the other front of house staff were welcoming, friendly, and professional, even though they were busy. There was soothing live music from a Thai xylophone too. Monsoon Valley sparkling wine, Colombard from Hua Hin, Thailand, was bright and matched the seafood well. Do book in advance
