First of all, as vegetarian, is not a good place if you want to have lounge service and food. No finger food like nuts or fries or chips . Spirits whisky gin all is from a machine which has no brands, taste bad. Is self half auto cocktail machine Wines are very low end. Today didn't even have white wines. As Vegetarian, I suggest them to have a vegetarian breakfast menu cos they don't care about vegetarian, later they made up one. But that was 2020 they finally provided a breakfast menu, but is been 2 years? Become boring. No chance. Tonight I was kind to just ask French fries instead of truffle pasta or fry rice... they say no! Cos not in menu. Being more than 10 years of platinum and titanium members for years, this hotel is the only hotel I get treated on and off badly, but every time I complain they become better. I think I know why they don't care about us anymore because today , their business is good. I supported them so many nights during covid just open as occupancy was low, but they have forgotten us...today 1st ask when I can check in they don't say. Then when checked in I also ask for borrow a nail clipper , they say can not due to hygiene but can help us buy! Come on, is it that money I am not happy? We Spend over 10 thousands of dollars for this hotel in the pass 3 years and now they ask us to buy a nail clipper which cost $1-2 in 7/eleven and tonight ask us to pay for a French fries cost like $3? I was kind not to order big dishes from the free menu cos is more expensive and just want a finger food French fries! But the answer is no! I think I give more tips to house cleaner than that! All I can say is They make me feel they are very calculative , not flexible management people. I really don't get respect and I really feel they want me out ! I just checked my notes: I have been supporting them since 28/1-4/2/2020 until today, have checked in at least 6 times, total nights is about 41 nights! This is what I get today. I even tell the GM in 2020 I like this place and I wanted to make it my Taipei home. Since I have introduce many people to come. But start tomorrow , I have to look somewhere else for my Taipei home. May be no...
Read moreI'm a local resident and have visited this place frequently over the years, but unfortunately, the quality has declined while prices have increased. In particular, the traditional Thai massage techniques and staff responsiveness have noticeably worsened.
During my most recent visit on a Friday night, I booked a 2-hour Thai massage at 5:30 pm. The first masseuse provided barely any pressure, so I politely requested a change. After a 15-minute wait, a second masseuse arrived but seemed rushed and inattentive. The massage room became uncomfortably cold, and when I asked to adjust the AC, the masseuse was reluctant, simply redirecting the fan and muttering, "You are cold but I am hot."
I requested a new masseuse again, and finally a manager asked what the issue was. I explained and asked for someone who could understand a little English, especially simple feedback like "too strong." The third masseuse seemed to ignore my request for a gentler touch, and I had to repeatedly remind her throughout the massage.
By this point, I was tired of switching staff and chose to finish my session. Yet, surprisingly, the massage ended abruptly without the customary yoga stretching and spine twist I had always received before.
After spending nearly three hours there, I went to share my feedback with the front desk. However, the staff struggled with English and made me wait quite a while before connecting me to a manager by phone. No apology was offered until I specifically asked for one. I ended up leaving after 9 pm, far later than expected, missing out on my Friday night plans.
I've noticed this place is no longer as busy as it used to be, and it's clear from my experience why that might be the case. I won't be returning-there are plenty of better alternatives in Bangkok that provide a truly relaxing experience...
Read moreWent here last night with my girlfriend. We booked the VIP 2 hour massage for two.
This is my third time to Health Land Ekamai and both previous times were fine, good massage. This time, incredibly, we both got bad massages.
Where do I start with mine, my masseuse consistently picked at her nails and fingers during my entire back “massage”. I use inverted commas because the massage involved her basically leaving her elbows on various parts of my back, without movement, while she picked and flicked at her nails. I was holding back not getting up and walking out as I kept waiting for her to stop, but it didn’t, it went on for maybe 30minutes. She seemed to use the entire back and leg portion to do this because she could hold her elbows into place and pick her fingers loudly, and I can feel the movement of it, every time. It was impossible to not be aware of this and incredibly disrespectful.
It was the WORST massage I’ve had in Bangkok, and I’ve been here 4 times this year and had many excellent massages, even the “bad” ones were not that bad.
After the massage I was shocked when my girlfriend also immediately told me about her issues, which were almost the same! Her masseuse also used elbows and no hands and there was no muscle massage, just pointing elbows into her back. Well at least she didn’t have to listen to her masseuse picking at her nails for the duration.
This was the first time I’ve never tipped a masseuse, and actually the first time I didn’t even say thank you to the masseuse, it was simply that bad of an experience.
I will never return to...
