Scam alert—terrible massage and even worse customer service! Fake positive reviews!

I booked an Indian Head Massage, expecting a proper, relaxing experience. Instead, I got the worst massage ever. The masseuse barely had any technique—she was just randomly pressing my head without any pressure and technique like she was just following steps she was instructed to do and getting it over with. There was no flow, no pressure, and no effort.

It was so bad that I even asked her to slow down and use proper technique mid massage. When I walked out, I thought maybe I just got unlucky, but when I asked my four friends who also got the massage, every single one of them said it was just as bad. They didn’t do all the steps they promised to do and when you confront them, they will completely deny it and say they did it.

And for this disaster, they charged 1390฿ —which is overpriced compared to other shops offering the same services in Phuket old town.

After the terrible experience I confronted the shop owner and she didn’t want to agree that her staff did a bad job and just kept on backing her up. I called the owner afterwards to explain what happened, expecting at least a professional response. Instead, she sarcastically said, "What can I do? Should I apologize by touching your feet?". She did say I could come back and do another massage but I have a flight to catch and after all that drama why would I wanna go back? Completely unnecessary, rude, and unprofessional.

When I told her I would be leaving a Google review, within SECONDS, over 10 positive reviews about their Indian Head Massage and staff suddenly appeared. It was so obvious they were trying to cover up real complaints by flooding their page with fake reviews. ( I am not completely sure if they’re all fake, but I’m pretty positive)

If you check their reviews, you’ll notice a bunch of suspiciously similar 5-star reviews posted at the same time. Clearly fake. They have fake reviews probably by their own staff so do not get fooled by all the positive reviews.

Honestly would not recommend patronising at this place. Just my personal experience, I got the 100mins Vietnamese head spa. My masseur does not seem experienced and was distracted at times. The overall environment was also not comfortable. There are three shared beds in one room, hence many times people would be entering and leaving the room, and chatting, while you’re getting your sound therapy. The usage of the tools weren’t engaging to say the least. Massage was also done so lightly and at awkward improper points. A nourishing mask was also used which didn’t feel value adding. Ring shape water took a long time to set up and didn’t feel great either. The same towel to wipe the body was proceeded to used to wipe the face. After blow drying, the combs clearly had lots of other patron’s hair on it, was used to comb your hair. The overall experience was lackluster for me and I would not ever visit them again. A fortunate chanced encounter!

Our first choice of massage spa was fully packed, and so we decided to seek 2nd options.

We walked in on a Saturday afternoon, and they were thankfully able to accommodate us (3 pax + 1 infant). It has been a long and hot day, and we were really looking forward to have a rest.

My mum and I shared a private room, along with my infant, and the masseurs were so kind and patient with us, to still accommodate with the massage while we desperately try to put the baby to sleep. It was truly an amusing yet exasperating situation, but the masseurs did not back down from the challenge and even tried assisting us too. The babe finally went to sleep, and we even extended the massage time.

It was the best massage ever. The ladies were experienced, and applied the right pressure at all the right places. And the service were top notch; tea were served before and after. My family were thoroughly refreshed and relaxed after this.
