To future tourists please be careful to avoid a disappointing experience and miscommunication on the boat service.
When we boarded the boat, the lady at the station confidently informed us that the boat would stop at Wat pho. At no point did she mention that it was a one-way service or that it would not stop there. Naturally, we trusted the information given to us by your staff — clearly, that was a mistake.
To make matters worse, when we attempted to clarify the situation with the onboard staff, instead of a simple explanation, we were met with scolding and abrupt instructions to “just get off.” No effort was made to speak to us respectfully or explain the situation properly. And as we prepared to alight, the boat — quite symbolically, really — pulled away from the station.
We eventually got off at the next stop, only to be met with even more hostility. And then, we were asked to pay again — for a mistake that stemmed entirely from your team's poor communication.

Read moreWe paid 30 baht each to travel from Pra Arthit pier near Khao San Road to Saphan Taksin in Sathorn, where you can catch the Skytrain. It took 30 mins and we saw temples, landmarks and riverside life on the way. Great way to travel in Bangkok. You can sit on the top or on the lower level. At the pier we could have got the normal commuter boat for 16 baht each but the tourist boat is much bigger and looked a lot safer. I'm glad we chose this option as we saw many types of boats on the river and this looked the best one. We were approached for a private trip on the way to the pier but there's no need when this...
