The Salil Hotel Riverside - Bangkok — Attraction in Wat Phraya Krai Subdistrict

My 7-year-old son and I stayed at The Salil Hotel Riverside Bangkok for two nights in June 2025 and we had a truly wonderful experience. We chose this hotel because we wanted to be close to the river and have easy access to Icon Siam via the water taxi. From the moment we arrived, we were impressed.||As soon as we stepped out of the car, the staff greeted us warmly and offered refreshments and popcorn while we waited to check in. The service was impeccable and every staff member we met spoke excellent English. The entire property was beautifully designed and landscaped, with a true boutique feel that was exactly what we were looking for. Everything was tastefully done with thoughtful and refined details throughout.||Even though the hotel seemed popular, it never felt overly crowded. We mainly saw other guests during breakfast or when using the water taxi. Once we checked in, the staff helped us download the hotel’s app which made everything even easier. Through the app, we could reserve or cancel water taxi spots and ask about hotel activities. The team was always quick to respond and incredibly polite.||There were many activities to enjoy during our stay. Each day offered something different and fun. My personal favorite was the Thai dessert activity in the afternoon. One of the attendants, Caramel (Mel), was so kind and patient. She showed me step-by-step how to make the Thai pancake, and it was absolutely delicious. I loved learning from her and appreciated how passionate she was about sharing Thai culture.||Another highlight was dressing in traditional Thai costumes. The staff helped us get ready and even walked us around the hotel to take beautiful photos. We got to take home a Polaroid as a keepsake which made it even more special.||The water taxi service was always prompt and the attendant was very attentive to our safety. Although we didn’t get to try every restaurant on site, we really enjoyed the Japanese ice cream shop and the coffee shop with fresh baked goods. Everything we tried was tasty and reasonably priced.||We had booked a river view room directly through the hotel’s website and noted our preference in the reservation. I was so happy that they honored our request. The room was peaceful and beautifully decorated, and the view of the river was absolutely stunning.||The hotel has a cute mascot named Wolpie, and there is a big statue of it near the pool which my son really enjoyed. Breakfast each morning was amazing. There was a wide selection of food and drinks, including a full café with cappuccinos, flat whites, espresso, and even Thai milk tea etc.||One of the most touching parts of our stay was participating in the Friday morning Alms Ceremony. The hotel prepared offering packages for guests to give to the monks. It felt incredibly meaningful to be part of this tradition and was a special way to start the day.||Overall, our stay was unforgettable. The Salil Hotel Riverside is perfect for anyone looking for a peaceful, beautifully designed place with warm hospitality and plenty of unique experiences. I highly recommend it and would love to return...

Here we go, yes now I gave it a second try since the location, facility, and restaurant are actually good! I just checked in yesterday, but it seems like you didn't take my previous comments seriously, and the service at the check-in counter wasn't pleasant. To make matters worse, I have six friends arriving today who will be checking in for four more rooms for a four-night stay! I deeply regret recommending this hotel to our group!

-—————-//—————/———- In Feb. I am deeply disappointed with the recent experience I had during my stay at your hotel. While the hotel's classic environment and prime location initially seemed promising, the quality of the housekeeping services and the rude service I encountered at the Rin Taro Gelato have left me thoroughly dissatisfied.

First and foremost, I would like to address the issue with the housekeeping services. During my four-day stay, it was disconcerting to discover that the toothbrush kit in my room was not changed unless specifically requested. It is common knowledge that toothpaste and toothbrushes are used in conjunction, and it is expected that a new toothpaste would be provided along with the fresh toothbrush. I strongly believe that the housekeeping staff should take the initiative to replace the entire toothbrush kit without guests having to request it explicitly.

Furthermore, my visit to the Rin Taro Gelato left a bitter taste in my mouth, far from the delightful gelato flavors I was hoping for. While I understand that different establishments may have varying rules regarding taste testing, the level of service I received was shockingly rude. The cashier's demeanor was impatient, and her communication was brusque. Instead of politely informing me about the taste testing policy, she displayed a clear lack of interest and impatience. To add insult to injury, when it came time to pay, I was informed curtly that cash was the only accepted form of payment. Such an unwelcoming attitude and lack of basic customer service etiquette marred what could have been an enjoyable experience.

Unfortunately, these regrettable incidents have overshadowed the otherwise pleasant environment and facilities at your hotel. I feel compelled to share my disappointment and frustration by leaving a rating of 4 out of 10 for the overall service. It pains me to witness such wasted potential in a property that has the advantage of a great location and classic ambiance.

I sincerely hope that you take my feedback seriously and address these issues promptly. Improving the housekeeping services to ensure that guests' needs are met proactively and training the staff at Rin Taro Gelato to provide polite and customer-centric service should be a priority. By doing so, you can enhance the overall experience for your guests and ensure that their expectations are met or exceeded.

Our recent stay at Salil Hotel Riverside exceeded all our expectations. From the moment we arrived (17 of us!), the staff went above and beyond to make our visit unforgettable. Shout out to Cherry, Mekki and the rest of their team! The warm and welcoming atmosphere was immediately noticeable, and every member of the team we encountered were professional, courteous, and genuinely interested in making our stay as comfortable as possible.

The rooms were absolutely stunning—bright, well-maintained, and beautifully decorated with a luxurious touch that made us feel royal. Every detail was thoughtfully considered, creating an atmosphere of comfort and elegance.

One of the standout features of Salil Hotel is the private boat shuttle service, which added a unique and luxurious touch to our stay. It was a delightful way to explore the area, and the convenience of being able to travel so easily to nearby attractions was unbeatable.

The dining experience was another highlight of our stay. The hotel restaurant consistently served delicious food, with every meal being a culinary delight. The breakfast offerings were particularly impressive, with a wide variety of options that were both flavorful and satisfying. It was the perfect way to start each day.

Also, the concierge service, (lead by Mekki) was simply exceptional! Not only did they offer expert advice on the best tour packages, Mekki arranged everything with exceptional care. He checked on us regularly to ensure we were comfortable and satisfied, which added a personal touch to our stay. They arranged everything with outstanding service, ensuring transportation was smooth and comfortable. Each tour was well-organized and included thoughtful touches like complimentary snacks and all the essentials needed for a day of exploring. It made our excursions even more enjoyable, knowing we were well taken care of.

In every aspect, Salil exceeded our expectations. The combination of luxurious accommodations, good food, unique amenities like the boat shuttle, swimming pool, and the exceptional staff made my stay unforgettable. We highly recommend Salil hotel to anyone seeking a top-tier experience, and we can’t wait to return for another stay!
