We wanted to have a Rib Eye steak but the waiter said the minimum of Rib Eye steak is over 500g. So we said that’s too much for us since we ordered other stuff so we asked how about the New York steak and he said minimum 300-400g. So We ordered NY steak instead. The other stuff we ordered were just ok and as we were the only customers there at that time I was a bit worried about ingredient quality. And finally steak came and it was quite big so we asked the gram of the steak and he said 520 or 550g.(I don’t remember well.) So I was quite shocked to find out the gram and asked the waiter why this steak is over 500g because we wanted to have sth between 300-400g and he said very proudly “ I said minimum.” He clearly saw us changing from Rib Eye to NY steak because of the gram and even though I explained our situation he kept saying “minimum” and gave us the attitude of him being right and us being wrong. It would be much better if a customer choose a steak and tell what grams they can order from instead of they just serve “the minimum”. Because they didn’t give us options and it felt like being cheated. It would have been more understandable if the restaurant was busy and servers couldn’t pay attention to us much but we were the only customers on Saturday evening on Christmas Eve.
Even if there was misunderstanding of us and the waiter, I would have been more appreciative if they hadn’t have the attitude. It’s not sth you would expect from Grand Hyatt restaurant. No wonder there...
Read moreThe steak seems to be prepared sous vide and finished on the grill to order, which is acceptable in kitchens these days but they should at least check the temperature inside before serving. The steak was refrigerator cold in the center. The entire restaurant was empty so the kitchen was not at all busy, I’m also a chef, and from a kitchen perspective there is just no excuse for serving a cold steak. We requested a smaller steak because we were ordering four other dishes but they just served us a huge steak almost double the weight we were expecting without asking us first if it would be ok. The waiter was very argumentative when we brought this to their attention. Not Grand Hyatt...

The location is plush and we were made to feel at home and all our needs were met.
I received a call ahead of time to confirm my booking and ask if I needed any arrangements made and when we arrive early the table was ready and we were promptly seated.
It was a great night - only shame is that they didn’t have more Ribeye steaks but due to the menu being diverse, we were able to find suitable...
