Faros İstanbul — Restaurant in Beyoğlu

In Istanbul, the best restaurant we ate is Faros Restaurant Taksim. Great location,nice restaurant.On the down side,because it is so central,it is quite loud and generaly in evening the place is crowded,a table is difficult to get. We had lentils soup and minestrone. Lamb kebab, shish kebab chicken, lamb chop (excellent), fettucine, penne arrabiata, lasagna, spaghetti bolognese, pizza with vegetals. Great baclava,creamy ice cream, linguine bolognese. Free coffee from the house Prices are not cheap,they add 10% as service to the bill. It has great reviews,Italian profile, excellent menu, the best pizza in Istanbul, pasta like in Italy, the restaurant is locate very well near Taksim square. Very prompt and with menu recommendations is Mr. Onur Dogan, the nice waiter. Fast services!...

Very bad attitude from the waitress who servuce us, portion size not good and even how he shout with us when we said we want to Re check the menu, so he let everyone in the restaurant looks shocked and surprised, for changing the cheese he charge for bread extra he charge, I won't recommend it at all، For ur reply, I mean male waiter, and next time don't let him shout on me when he reply, and since u don't sell bread then why when we ask for extra bread with our breakfast plate y charge us, any way was really bad attitude from ur mail waiter and u treat tourists in bad way, won't come there ever and ur waiter should learn how to speak with guests, this is not out first time in Istanbul, hut this was the first...

Stayed at a hotel nearby and this place was referred to by the concierge for possible vegetarian options on a late Friday evening. Inside the restaurant was all busy so I sat outside. A bit noisy intersection there with lots of traffic. English meuus and the staff speaks English too. Surprisingly fast service, even for a busy place. Good size portions. Can't say the food was exceptional but it was good nevertheless. Local red wine by glass recommended by the waiter was OK but nothing to die for. Free WiFi (pswd: faros 2000). Good value for money overall. Will consider going back there again if I stay nearby, maybe to try some other things...
