Had read great things about this place which in hindsight lead to high expectations. The Mezze choice is exceptional and the waiter likes to explain all 25. However the waiter we had took offence quite easily. He refused us a cup of tea at the start and seemed offended when we chose the kebabs over sweet bread. However the last straw for us was the excessively high cover charge which was not declared at the start and was to cover salt pepper napkins and water (which we hadn’t had) and the like. Weird. Interestingly there were only 2 other people dinning there during the 21/2 hours we were there.

A lovely atmosphere in a lovely building & courtyard. The meze starters are top quality, the fish good too. However, when I tried to book a table they said they were full, they did find us a table but only after I had confirmed I would be drinking alcohol, I assume as this is where they make most profit. The service was odd too. After starters nobody asked us what we wanted for our main meal, we eventually called the waiter over. Overall excellent, Dan

Takip ettiğim Bodrum ile ilgili YouTube kanalların birinde detaylı bir çekimini izlediğim mekana sonun da gelebildim. Gerçi Bodrum da yazları kaldığım halde yoğunluktan anca sıra geldi. Öncelikle mekanın konumu ( özellikle üst kat, lakin alt katta da eski halikarnas disconun inşaat paravanları sonunda söküldü için oranın da manzara açısı düzelmiş) harika. Eski Halikarnas mekanın tam arkası. Sahibi ve işletmecisi Ertuğrul Bey bizimle çok ilgilendi ve tüm mezelerin yapılış hikayesini ve tarihçesini tek tek anlattı. Denediğimiz mezeler Dövme hıyar salatası Gambiya Favası Tahinli közlenmiş patlıcan Balık turşusu Patlıcan Herse Muhammara Topik Arnavut ciğeri Uykuluk Alkol olarak ben 20 lik Efe Gold aldım. Web sitelerinde fiyatları yazıyor. Aynı fiyattan hesaplama yapıldı. Bu lezzetlere göre ve çevre meyhanelere göre ki bu lezzette ve çeşitte meze yapan denk yer yok, fiyatlar uygun. Uygun kelimesini bilinçli seçtim. Aslında gayet uygun da denilebilir. Favorimiz eşimle başta Topik ve Balık turşusu. Bir daha ki gidişimiz de Topik ve Balık turşusu yanında diğer denemediğimiz mezeleri de deneyeceğiz. Tavsiye ederim.

Reserve a table upstairs, otherwise you will not have a cozy sight. We sat outside and couldn't hear the music at all. And I wish they used butter instead sunflower oil for shrimps. We couldnt order 20 cl rakı but 35 cl instead. Lots of mezes but could be with better taste and could be served more beautifully with unique plates, etc.

Located slightly off the main boardwalk. Service is their main value proposition followed closely by good food and upscale ambience. Our waiter was responsive, attentive and took the time to answer all our questions. Fried calamari and meatballs is highly recommended here.
