I’ll start this review by saying this review has been delayed as I didn’t want to mark 5 stars and not actually give my experience. An absolutely outstanding 5 star hotel, who looked after me and my friend during our stay in April - during the floods. I want to mention the team first, and then the hotel as the service was absolutely exceptional. A special thanks to Abishek, Jewel & Sanya helpful at breakfast, advice on what to do and generally making us feel like we were at home. Abishek, you single handedly made our stay so memorable! Also the lovely doormen, thank you so much for your help during those terrible days where there were not many taxis available across Dubai. Breakfast - I would come back for the breakfast alone. With a mixture of continental, Indian, Arabic and other cultural breakfasts, you’ll be spoilt for choice in selecting. There’s no rush and the serving team are on hand to offer you more cups of tea! I loved the shot of the day as a concept and looked forward to the different flavours Facilities - this is where the hotel is exceptional. A fully equipped gym, pool and exercise area. The sauna and steam room are a real treat and available for hotel guests to use without other treatments. This was a lovely addition. The terrace swimming pool was definitely the highlight and virtually empty to swim in. Restaurants - I think for the calibre of hotel appropriate in price, but lots of different variety and we didn’t even get a chance to explore them all! Location - bang in the middle of Business Bay, within 10 mins drive of Dubai mall. If you dare to walk in the heat, it’s only 25 mins by walk. Amenities - all toiletries are Molton Brown and water is stocked up everyday. Fruits given complimentary by ringing up room service. Absolute lifesaver in the night. Room- we had a twin room with Burj khalifa view. Absolutely gorgeous views. The room was spacious, fresh & clean. The only problem we faced was the fridge cabinet door didn’t close. Mini bar is v expensive so I would suggest taking own snacks and drinks. Shuttle - there’s drop off and pick up to Dubai mall. Don’t underestimate this shuttle, it will save you plenty of Dihrams and you will be dropped right at the door. Really great if you don’t want to haul lots of shopping. I’d recommend and definitely will be retuning to Taj Dubai and would love to see other Taj hotels on my travels.

Currently staying at the Taj and how this is considered a 5 star hotel I do not know. Check in was smooth. We were a bit early so went to Dubai Mall until it was ready. We went to get the shuttle bus back but it must have left early as did not turn up so had to walk to the other side of the mall to get a taxi. When we returned to the room, the hallways are hot and stuffy. When you enter the room it smells musty. The room is ok but nothing amazing and feels a bit dark. The bathroom does have a lovely bathtub but no bath salts or bubble bath - you have to call for that. The bath took about 20mins to fill. There is no power point in the bathroom to dry your hair - the only place is at the desk that has a big lamp in the way. Then the hairdryer itself the cord is so short compared to the dryer so you can’t use it plus you have to hold the button continually. The bath towels are thread bare which I think is unacceptable. They provide bottles of water, however one of mine the seal had been broken. The in-room dining was good but very expensive compared to other hotels in the area. The worst is the breakfast (which is disappointing as this is why I booked). The restaurant was quite hot, the service was poor - no water provided at the table, plates not cleared, etc. The food was cold and inedible - pancakes were rock hard, waffles cold and chewy, there w as no strawberry/raspberry jam, the toaster barely toasted even after 2 rounds. I did complain and they would not allow us to get a refund for the last 2 nights but did switch our rooms which at least did not smell. But as we left the first room I hit my foot on this plastic with nails sticking out of it. Might be ok for a business hotel but overall would not recommend.

We booked the Burj Khalifa facing room and we we got exactly that with a lovely view of the tall building and the window we could almost see the entire Dubai Fountain show. Our checkin experience wasn’t the best and on our first day breakfast we had no one attend to us. However the moment i got this to the notice of the duty manager Mr. Saif he ensured that we received the best treatment that the Taj group is known for. The last 2 days of our 3 night stay here exceeded expectations with the staff taking care of us like family and treating us in grand manner at all meals and also decorating our room with roses and candles for our honeymoon stay. Special thanks to Mr Saif and Mr Gagan( Director FnB) for taking extra efforts to provide the true Taj Experience. Kudos to the guest relations team and their ethics The hotel provides an hourly complimentary shuttle to the Burj and Dubai mall which is fantastic. Its also conveniently located in the centre of business bay with plenty of dining options in and around with major attractions only a maximum of 15 minutes away which is great if you are planning a short trip and want to explore most places in Dubai. They were kind enough to offer us a drop to the airport in a well equipped SUV as a sorry for their service on day 1. On a side note - We were lucky to spot celebs here - Hrithik Roshan, Atif Aslam and Ankur Warikoo were all put up here during our visit making our trip that much more special.

My stay at Taj Dubai Hotel was nothing short of extraordinary! From the moment I arrived, I was greeted with warmth and hospitality. The hotel's luxurious ambiance, elegant decor, and breathtaking views of the city skyline left me in awe. The room was spacious, meticulously clean, and adorned with modern amenities that ensured a comfortable stay. The culinary experience at Taj Dubai surpassed all expectations. Each meal was a culinary masterpiece, offering a delightful fusion of flavors that tantalized my taste buds. Whether dining at the fine-dining restaurant or indulging in the delectable offerings at Miss Tess, every dish was a culinary delight. The staff at Taj Dubai deserves special commendation for their exceptional service and attention to detail. They went above and beyond to ensure that every aspect of my stay was perfect, catering to my every need with professionalism and grace. The hotel's facilities, including the spa and fitness center, provided the perfect balance of relaxation and rejuvenation. I particularly enjoyed unwinding by the poolside, soaking in the stunning views while sipping on refreshing beverages. Overall, my experience at Taj Dubai Hotel was truly unforgettable. I highly recommend this hotel to anyone seeking a luxurious retreat in the heart of Dubai. Thank you, Taj Dubai, for an exceptional stay!

So awesome. Online the hotel looked "okay" in the pics, but in person, you can see it is definitely approaching that 5 star level. I stayed here 7 days, first of all, these were THE nicest staff...everyone from the front desk, to the outside pool people, to the housekeeping was so friendly and polite, I thought maybe they mistook me for like a minor celebrity or something. The cleanliness of my room was immaculate, I could have probably eaten off the floor if I wanted. I think every day housekeeping came by like twice every day while I was out on the town to tidy up my room. The actual look of my room was so cool and fancy looking to me. The bathrooms especially having the big window pane with curtains overlooking the bedroom looked cool, I felt spoiled. I paid extra to have breakfast included every morning and it was more than worth it, high quality buffer style, so many options, I am American so I mainly stuck to familiar things like turkey bacon, waffles, scrambled eggs, but also tried other more Middle Eastern type of dishes here and there, all were good. If I ever come back to Dubai, I will be staying at the Taj Downtown, it was so easy to get Ubers to famous attractions and at good prices since you do not have to travel far. This place is classy.
