I visited this golf club from the United States expecting a safe, professional environment—but what I experienced was traumatic and deeply disappointing.
While on their property, I was struck in the head with a metal golf club, resulting in a bleeding injury that required stitches and medical attention. Shockingly, no one from the staff called emergency services or the police at the time of the incident. I was left to manage the trauma alone in a foreign country.
When I returned to the club to follow up, I spoke with the manager, David Taggart, who refused to provide the club’s liability document and declined to share the security camera footage. This is a serious refusal to comply with a reasonable legal and safety-related request—especially given that the incident occurred on their premises.
It wasn’t until I personally involved the police that the situation was treated with any degree of seriousness. The way this incident was handled caused not only physical harm but also ongoing emotional distress during what was supposed to be a peaceful trip.
No guest—especially one traveling internationally—should ever be met with avoidance, defensiveness, or denial after being injured on a business’s property. I hope this review prompts management to re-evaluate their safety procedures, staff training, and how they respond to emergencies and legal responsibilities.
