I've been on 2 trips with this company.
The first to Hatta, Oman. The driver picked us up on time from our apartment. His text communication was good but he was very quiet the whole way and wasn't very knowledgeable about the area.
He gave us an hour in the lake to Kayak and then a few stops elsewhere before dropping us back off in Dubai. For just 105 AED, it's good value for money.
The second trip was for the desert safari. I have done the desert safari 3 times before with other companies and so know what to expect. This one had very limited dune bashing which was only 7 mins (they told me 15). With other companies I have used before, this lasted around 45 mins. This is normally the best part of the trip and this was lackluster. The dunes were very small. I think more time could be spent on this.
The entertainment was good especially the fire show which I had not seen before at other camps. This camp is also very small compared to others. Only unbranded soft drinks (Lemonade or Cola) are available and there are no diet options either. The soft drinks are also only served from 2 hours after you reach the camp as well.
They bring you to the camp very early and so you have nothing to do for 2 hours unless you pay extra and go to the VIP lounge.
No sandboarding was offered despite being listed as a free activity.
The quad biking area looks very small and flat, defo not worth the extra.
Food is not great and very rushed. People were pushing left right and centre. Many have never heard the concept of a queue. A very small amount of meat is offered per person (and this runs out quick).
We chose to be picked up and dropped off at a central location (Mall of the Emirates). Pick up was fine just 15 mins late. The driver didn't want to drop us back here after the trip and wanted us to get off at Burjuman and then take the metro at 10.45pm as apparently the traffic would be really bad (there was no traffic at this time during the summer). I was expecting to be dropped off at my pick up point as suggested by the company but the driver was looking for his own comfort. He eventually agreed to drop us back off but this was an unnecessary discussion.
This is the cheapest Safari I have been on too, at just 50 AED so can't complain for the price. (Just dinner normally costs more than that) But if this is your only time to Dubai, spend more and go to a better company so you get a more authentic and memorable (for the right...
Read moreI was extremely disappointed due to the poor organization, delays, and rudeness. The pickup from the hotel was delayed by two hours. The organizer did not bother to call us to let us know the new pickup time or the reason for the delay. We were the ones who had to call to get information. Additionally, we received no explanation or apology for the delay.
The delay continued when we arrived at the location that appeared to be the venue for the safari activities organized by all the other agencies. I say 'appeared' because no one explained what we were doing there, or perhaps they did, but in Arabic or Hindi since there were Arabs (or Indians?) in our group. I didn't know we were supposed to understand Arabic or Hindi to get explanations. The person providing the explanation didn't even look us in the eye. We felt discriminated. Luckily, someone in our group explained it to us in English.
Because of these multiple delays, we missed the sunset in the desert, which was supposed to be a memorable photo opportunity. It was the only chance we had to take photos in the Dubai desert.
We also didn't have time to take photos along the road before sunset during the dune bashing, even though that was part of the option we chose. I'm not even sure if it was possible because we didn't see anyone doing it, although we were told we could if we asked the driver to stop. We didn't dare because the dune bashing driver wasn't very communicative: he didn't give any safety instructions and didn't confirm whether we could take photos. Someone in the group asked to stop for photos, but he refused. In summary, he was just there to drive the 4x4, nothing more.
Arriving at the camp was also a disappointment: the camel ride lasted literally one minute after a long queue, the henna tattoo looked like a child's scribble, and the traditional costume looked nothing like what was shown in the photos.
In short, I do not recommend this service. It was a waste of time and money. A...
Read morePathetic service, worst experience. Don’t fell for fake reviews. Firstly, I agreed to pay more for arranging same day service, which is fine. Experience started with a decent vehicle. First pit stop: “bikes”. We saw it; Nope! Kids are young, we don’t wanna do it. Response was: unfortunately you’ll have to wait here for 40 minutes. Pit Stop 2: Dune Bashing! I was really looking forward to it as main adventure/feature of the trip. We were left in car for another half an hour saying that other cars are joining in. Dune Bashing was so basic that I felt like driving on dirt road in Australia. Shortened to 10 minutes. On inquiry, driver said: we normally do less than this. Pit Stop 3: Vehicle Cleaning! You wait inside small shops who try to sell you small commodities. Pit Stop 4: The Camp! Dune Bashing was done in Dubai, now driver started driving towards Sharjah. We missed sunset in this drive. No photography option. Now The Camp! The most pathetic vulgar place with labour class full of lust audience with no space/table booked. I tried to upgrade but not available due to rush. Performances: First performance was some very average lame dancers on stage. People around us were so excited that I felt ashamed sitting in them with family. Next performances by men were interesting but you had to keep reminding audience to sit down. It’s not an audience for family in standard sitting. Agent should clarify this upfront. Food: Get in long line to get cold tasteless food and drinks. Better go back to hotel and have a decent dinner. Sand Boarding???? What is it? Where was it? Camel Riding??? Camel started at 12pm and were extremely tired. Poor animals were in such bad shape that I tried to pat one and he wanted to bite me back.
Crux of Story: Camp is not the place to go with family at all. Even then if you’re going, do not get standard seats. More importantly, find deal for next level dune bashing only if you want to enjoy.
Company isn’t trustworthy as the...
