VIP Hummer Desert Safari Dubai — Attraction in Dubai

The tours is a complete scam. Rude & Abusive drivers!! We had 16 people in our party so we had 3 hummers. All 3 were very old vehicles with broken parts: handles falling off, seats that did not click into place and warning lights all over the dashboard. We spent just over 15 minutes in the dune bashing (advertised 45minutes) when we asked for more time we were told at the camp there would be more. There was not. The camp didn't even have the Arabic tea, dress or shisha - again as advertised. The camel ride was in a circle the space of 5 metres, which also the poor camels were clearly mistreated. The toilets were overflowing, really I have no clue when they would have last been cleaned. One of the hummers actually broke down on the way to the camp, 6 people were stuck on the side of the motorway whilst the driver told us absolutely nothing, we were there for so long we couldn't do the dune boarding as it was now dark. When someone eventually came to rescue us and the broken down vehicle, they proceeded to try fix the vehicle rather than take the tourists on the rest of the tour? Just so unorganised. We had no idea what we were doing or where we were going for all of tour, the drivers were rude and condescending to every question we had. I cannot warn you enough not to do this tour.

When we tried at the end to ask for someone to speak to regarding the tour and our complaints, my partner was then shouted at down the phone by "the lead driver" so much so one of the hotel managers heard and tried to talk to them for us, he also was shouted and sworn at and advised us to contact the police. We were just trying to enjoy our holiday and do one tour as a family. They ruined the experience completely.

Overall, the experience was really good except the food. Shahzeb was really professional in his services. He reached the Hotel on time and always ensured we are comfortable throught out the journey. His car was pretty neat and drove very carefully. For the Dune Bashing he asked the driver not to go too rough as there were 2 infants and a kid with us. He was really caring and gave us instructions at each points. He carefully heard all our requests and helped us. Since we were having kids, We had carried stroller though was not a thoughtful decision.But Shahzeb helped us carry it all through the desert to the camp. However, the food at the camp was really poor, Not even a tea tasted good. Shahzeb kept pinging and reaching us occasionally to check we were all good. Kudos to his services. It's adventurous, it's professional and it's a must. If you are visiting Dubai then desert safari of course has to be on top of the list. Most of the times you'll be offered a total package wherein they provide pick up and drop from your hotel. Then they provide a wild drive in hummer or other cars as specified and then they take you to a place wherein you are entertained with a belly dance show and finally dinner.

IMPORTANT - While you are being taken in the desert safari, they take a pause in the middle of the desert for photos etc and some people will come with birds in their hands and offer you to take photos with them. Mind you that's not free. They'll charge for that after your photos are taken. It's advisable to bargain before doing that.
