Majestic Cove Hotel — Hotel in Dubai

My recent stay at the Majestic City Retreat Hotel in Bur Dubai was deeply disappointing and far from the welcoming experience I expected from a 4-star property. The issues began at check-in when I inquired about a possible room upgrade. The receptionist curtly informed me that no suites were available, but when I showed her clear evidence of suite availability on Agoda, she started making vague excuses and bluffing, which felt unprofessional and dishonest. Her unwelcoming demeanor set a negative tone for the entire stay.Additionally, the hotel lacks covered parking, which is a significant inconvenience in Dubai’s scorching heat. For a property marketed as a premium option, this omission is unacceptable, forcing guests to park in exposed areas. Overall, the lack of transparency, poor customer service, and inadequate facilities like the absence of covered parking made my experience at Majestic City Retreat Hotel frustrating and forgettable. Wir sind aktuell im Dezember 2024 im Majestic Cove Hotel zu Gast und insgesamt sehr zufrieden. Das Personal ist außerordentlich freundlich, hilfsbereit und erfüllt wirklich alle Wünsche, was unseren Aufenthalt sehr angenehm macht. Das Frühstück ist in Ordnung und bietet eine ausreichende Auswahl für einen guten Start in den Tag. Das Hotel ist sauber und gut ausgestattet.||Ein großer Pluspunkt ist die Nähe zur Bahnstation, die fußläufig gut erreichbar ist. Dort kann man unkomplizierte Bahntickets nach eigenen Wünschen kaufen, wie Tages- oder Wochenkarten. Die Bahnen sind relativ pünktlich, jedoch oft sehr voll. Besonders positiv fällt der Familienbereich in der Bahn auf, auch wenn es dort leider kaum oder keine Sitzplätze gibt.||Ein kleiner Nachteil ist der Pool: Leider war er nicht beheizt, da die Heizspirale nicht funktionierte, und der Bereich bekommt nicht so viel Sonne, was ihn im Winter weniger attraktiv macht. Außerdem sind die Lichtschalter in den Zimmern etwas zu hoch angebracht – unser 5-jähriger Sohn kann sie nur schwer erreichen. Hier wäre ein Tritthocker für Kinder eine sinnvolle Ergänzung.||Ärgerlich war zudem, dass auf Check24 noch der alte Name des Hotels hinterlegt war, was bei unserer Ankunft zu Irritationen führte. Es wäre hilfreich, diese Informationen zu aktualisieren, um Missverständnisse zu vermeiden. The staff is exceptionally friendly, helpful, and fulfills every request, making our stay very pleasant. Breakfast is fine and offers a decent variety for a good start to the day. The hotel is clean and well-equipped.||A big advantage is the proximity to the train station, which is within walking distance. Tickets, such as day or weekly passes, can be purchased easily on-site. The trains are relatively punctual but often very crowded. The family section in the train is a nice touch, though it offers little to no seating.||A minor downside is the pool: unfortunately, it wasn’t heated as the heating system wasn’t working, and the area doesn’t get much sunlight, which makes it less appealing in winter. Additionally, the light switches in the rooms are placed a bit too high—our 5-year-old son has trouble reaching them. Providing a small step stool for kids would be a great improvement.||It was also frustrating that the hotel’s old name was still listed on Check24, which caused some confusion upon arrival. Updating this information would help avoid misunderstandings.
