Jones The Grocer — Restaurant in Dubai

On New Years Eve I have visited Jones The Grocer for a pre-drink the first time. If you are looking for a nice and easy going atmosphere, it is your spot! The entrance area welcomes you and looks very clean. Especially the lightning invites you to spend some time.

But what needs to be highlighted - the staff. Very friendly, supportive and always available. They have - beside of drinks and food - also cheese and charcuteria counter. So, if you want to create your own platter, you can do.

Big compliments to Dimitri (Manager), he showed me around his venue.

The only disadvantage: The Grocer is connected to the Pro-Shop. Depending where you sit, you will look directly into the shop, but not a big deal.

Ordered an avocado chicken sandwich. Asked for a fresh one to be made but ended up getting the on display with stale bread (they make them in the morning so must have been there for few hours).

Got a new one made after raising it. It’s had less of everything incl. one side with practically no chicken. Also, the bread had been toasted which I suspect was to “camouflage” the bread quality.

This Jones is nothing like the one at EGC which I’ve always found good.

The food was flawless, the Sujuk sausages are brilliant, have it in your big breakfast! The sage in the homemade hash browns brought an unparalleled depth of flavour.
