The Anglian Tower is the lower portion of an Early Medieval tower on the city walls of York in the English county of North Yorkshire. It is located on the south-west face of the City walls, currently in the grounds of York City Library and accessible on foot both from there and the Museum Gardens.

Unfortunately the first time I tried to visit the tower it was early evening and the fares were locked. I returned the following morning (10 ISH) and gained access. For something of such historical importance it was not well advertised. The area it was in was quiet and no other visitors were around. The area it's situated in is well kept and clean. For history buffs and anyone else interested in history it's a must. For others it's an old stone building 🤣

The Anglian Tower is free to visit as part of the Museum Gardens, and is one of a number of more impressive ruined buildings in the area.
