Very disappointed. I am aiming this review directly to the Casino located within Coral Island, the arcade and over 18 amusements were brilliant however the Casino itself is the reason I am writing this review. Myself and 7 other friends travelled from south west Scotland for a day/night out to celebrate one of our number getting married in 3 weeks time. We arrived in Blackpool at roughly 11am and spent the late morning and afternoon at the pleasure beach (until 5pm). After spending almost 2 hours in traffic to get to our apartment we got ready to head out for a pre booked meal at 7.45pm. We had a lovely meal with, no more than 3, alcoholic beverages each. We proceeded to Coral Island to enjoy around 1 hour (planned) spending money we had set aside for this purpose. After around half an hour amongst the gaming machines we headed to the Casino in very good spirit. We entered the Casino in a sober, polite and quiet manner only to be refused entry immediately. The excuses given from the doorman were pathetic. Exact quotes are "we don't allow lads in groups in" "the football was on earlier" "you have clearly been drinking". He then proceeded to single out a member of our group, who had been up since 5am and spent a day on his feet, and said "your eyes are far too glazed to get in here". We then left disappointed, shocked and feeling very discriminated as this was planned in for our night. Obviously our night can't be adjusted now but hopefully this does not happen to other groups of "lads" in the future just because of the number in the group without proper evidence to refuse entry. After personally working over 7 years in a gambling establishment I can safely say we did not show any reason to be refused and the fact we were told because that we were a group of "lads" we were not allowed entry just shows the level of discrimination. Thoroughly...
Read moreWed 6th NOV 2024 We visit Blackpool 1 - 2 times each year and today we re- visited the Coral Island Casino early evening. Most days we just play the Coral Island arcade machines. We were already life time Casino members from registering 2 years ago.
We are not high rollers, and we stick to our stake budget win or lose playing the Roulette Table. They also have several Roulette digital playing machines & Slots.
The Roulette Table Croupiers team at Coral Island are friendly and very professional. Their head Croupier "Aaron" is a true Pro and oversees all the bets and is a true gentleman. Today we were surprised to have Coral Island Croupier "Tom" at our table who remembered us from 2 years ago. We had a very enjoyable session with Tom with other players at our table. Then followed by a session with Croupier "Emma" who was extremely polite and again professional.
There is no pressure in Coral Island Casino if you play big or small. We play for fun and if we walk away - up by a few pounds then happy days. Tipping the Croupiers with chips before leaving is really appreciated, but not compulsory.... we always tip :)
Coral Island Casino take good care of you while playing with offerings of free non alcoholic drinks..... So sincere thanks to "Shamus" today for his warm friendly drinks service.
Overall we would recommend Coral Island Casino for a good experience. The dress code inside is quite informal..... but I think beach wear may not be tolerated.
Many thanks to all the Casino staff, and we hope to see you again soon Win or Lose. We just love Coral Island :)
Warm Regards, Dave & Karen...
Read moreReally good very clean and also cheap to play at 30pence a game.you can win prizes from a sweet to very big prizes. Staff are superb, on arrival we were offered a drink and a biscuit too. Covid19 track and trace is a mandatory requirement and a infra red temperature check too and also a mandatory face covering unless exempted (50p masks available and all proceeds to the NHS) not the venue really great idea. You will not get in without an email confirmation of the track and trace, but it ensures your safety and it controls numbers inside again for your safety. Machines are cleaned all the time ample staff doing it and ample staff to help you too. In most instances every other machine is taken out of use with another telling you that it is taking a rest to maintain social distancing for us, yet another great measure. The venue during August that we know of is doing the eat in government 50% off food and non alcoholic drinks in all it's outlets on a Monday to Wednesday ask staff they do help, for their safety most have face coverings too. Great venue with superb security and dedicated security teams refusing entry if you do not comply with their venues guidance. Really...
