Wow … where do i start . Funland is probably the worse place to work in the world . Let’s start with the good stuff. Alan the security guard is fantastic you won’t meet a nicer security guard and supervisor is amazing always helpful and very knowledgeable. Now let’s start with the down side the owner is terrible hense why no staff stay . The owner Roger who is the most penny pinching person you will ever meet . Last year he instructed us to use a mop to clean poo from the toilets and use that same mop to clean the floor and sinks with absolutely disgusting. The staff do the best they can. Staff turnover over is hurrendous but that’s also down to people not wanting to work . The owner treats staff very badly. The play area is never cleaned health and safety does not exist . Machines are not maintained we spent more time giving refunds to customers as machines break all the time . If the arcade is down on takings it’s world war 3 it’s all the staffs fault . Unfortunately most of the complaints is for the toilets but Roger the owner won’t pay anyone to clean them and when there is only 2-3 staff on with his rule is no more then 3 staff on it’s absolutely impossible to clean . If u was desperate for a job then go to funland...
Read moreReview of the soft play 5* - we came here looking for a soft play as requested by a 6 year old who felt gruffalo was too babyish (and for me to expensive). The soft play is upstairs and was a brilliant area for him. You’ll struggle to find one in Blackpool strangely so was a great find. And only £4! For entry, You buy a token from the desk then hand this over. Bit random conserving they then take cash at desk for purchasing drinks 🤦🏻
arcade side - 1* Of all the arcades in Blackpool we found this to be one of the worst. Lot of machines not working correctly, and anything involving tickets was so tight it felt like you’d spend £100 just to get a paper aeroplane...
Read moreThe WORST maintained arcade in Blackpool. Half the fruit machines are turned off and the machines that do work have so many bulbs missing that you don't know what you are collecting. There's a few machines in there that have had the same bulbs out for atleast 5 years. Upstairs is a dumping ground for old machines that dont work and the turnstiles where you have to pay to go to the toilet. ( yes that's correct. They charge their customers to use the toilets) absolute disgraceful and ridiculous. This arcade is 1 of hundreds of reasons why alot of people don't like Blackpool. No maintenance and just let things go to ruin but still happy to take...
