We had an amazing time The Curse of the Lost Chamber Escape Room at Windsor Leisure Center. We wanted to do something completely different as a family treat during the school holidays. We have two young girls aged 7 (nearly 8) and 10, so wasn’t sure the youngest would be quite old enough for an escape room, but after doing some research online we came across this room that said it was suitable for younger children. After speaking to the lovely Kathryn at Escape In 60 Windsor before booking I felt comfortable that we should all enjoy it, so we booked. It was our first time doing an Escape Room, so really didn’t know quite what to expect. On arrival, our room host, Kathryn met us, took us to the room and explained all that we needed to know to get started. Once we were off we all had an amazing experience. We got a little stuck at a few points, but if they feel you are struggling with something in the time given, you are provided a small hint on a monitor to put you back on track, so the kids (and us!) don’t get too frustrated and disheartened. We all had an absolutely amazing time and I would not hesitate to recommend this room to anyone, even with younger children. We have already booked the Escape the Castle room next month as we are now addicted :-) Thanks to Kathryn and Mike at Escape In 60 Windsor for all you hard work in designing the room and your great hospitality on the day! The kids loved their little surprise at the end, a nice little extra touch! Glad you found my wife hilarious, we did too! Thanks so much for a fabulous first time experience, see...
Read moreABSOLUTELY BRILLIANT EXPERIENCE ! ! Extremely exciting & fun for all the family. My children (aged 9 & 11), & I had the best time. Mike is a wonderful host, so welcoming & kind, gave us clues along the way, which we definitely needed, & he really boosted my sons confidence, which in turn got my son very engaged. Very sweet of Mike. My son’s 9 & he managed to work out more clues than me! My daughter was in her element and was bursting with excitement the whole time! Absolutely Great for getting the brain working! (A proper brain workout. Constantly cracking codes & finding clues is exhausting!!). Plus the experience has so much to it, you won’t believe it!! Full of surprises! Very clever & well thought out & brilliantly planned. Extremely clean & safe! Very reassuring for us. The children are asking to go back for the other rooms, & they will both take friends for their birthdays too! HIGHLY RECOMMEND by all 3 of us. The children are still talking about it. Value for money & just a fantastic experience. We have already told so many friends about it. This left us with a WOW feeling & a strong desire to return. You won’t regret it!!! Mike absolutely cared that each of us enjoyed the experience to it’s fullest. I have to say, totally and utterly exceeded my expectations. Cannot wait to try your other rooms very soon and a huge...
Read moreGood escape rooms, and a very welcoming host. We had a great time (hence the five stars), but we do have some feedback. The room appeared to have two many puzzles between start and escape, ordinarily this is not a bad thing, but the puzzles are so well designed that you almost wish you had a little more time to work your way through them. The end result though is that you often find yourself in the bind of either having to ‘get it’ straight away, or haphazardly trying to guess before you’re thrusted with a clue. This is no discredit to the hosts, they’re trying to make sure you have a good time (which we did), and the reason they push out clues is to ensure you’re making adequate progress in a timely manner, but the density of puzzles meant that you did fall into the cycle as described. The most satisfying part of escape rooms isn’t necessarily ‘escaping’ it’s logically working your way through clues and coming up with answers. This is just my two cents; experienced Escapers would probably balk at the idea of too many puzzles. We did...
