The Cinema that saved my day! I was trapped. I was surrounded by women. And they were shopping. I know what you're thinking. "How did you get into this situation?" It's a long story. But the short version is that I was visiting my daughter and her husband. And they live close to this designer outlet mall. I'm not a big shopper. I'd rather be out in the garage working on my car or watching a football game. But my daughter and her husband are different. They could spend hours in those stores. So there I was, wandering around the mall, trying to find something to do. I was about to give up and go home when I saw it: A cinema! The cinema was everything I had hoped it would be. It had multiple screens, a large lobby, and plenty of food and drink options. I bought a ticket to the latest thriller and settled into my seat. The recliners were so comfortable, I almost fell asleep. The movie was great. The video and sound system were top-notch. And I didn't have to worry about my wife and daughter texting me every five minutes. I spent the next two hours enjoying the movie and escaping from the world of shopping. When the movie was over, I felt like a new man. I was refreshed, invigorated, and ready to face the world again. I thanked the cinema for saving my life and headed back to the shops. I found my wife and daughter still shopping. How did they manage to only cover 4 shops in 2 hours is beyond me...

What a lovely evening my daughter and I had on Wednesday this week! We didn’t book (which was a mistake on our part because they were very busy) but staff went out of their way to accommodate us. Jack W on the counter was so polite and so helpful finding us last minute tickets for the Bridget Jones film. There weren’t two seats available together until 9pm and it was only 6.15 at the time. Then he found two seats at 7.10 which were only two seats apart from one another. We thought the two people sitting between us might be willing to swap. He then referred us to Sam (female) at the screen entrance, who looked after us until we went in to watch the film. She got me a chair to sit on in the queue as I’m disabled and can’t stand for long periods. Sam saw our ticket numbers and when the two people sitting between us arrived, she asked them very politely if they would mind swapping with us. They were happy to swap and we enjoyed comfortable seats next to one another and a great movie. It’s five years since I last went to the cinema but thanks to Jack and Sam I won’t leave it as long next time! Thank you both so very much.

Everything you want in a cinema and non of the things you don't. Ly local cinema (Odeon) is very expensive but at the time of the last family visit to the cinema they were offering a ticket for 4.99 each, every film, every day. The auditoriums are all well sized with even the smallest still offering a good cinema experience, the seats (even the cheapest ones) are comfy but as usual the popcorn, sweets and drinks are relatively expensive. Tons of parking behind the cinema means that you can easily get parking on all but the busiest days and there are a number of places to eat righ outside so you can make a day of it with a trip to Cheshire Oaks outlet, dinner and finish off with a film. One of my favourite cinemas, I wish that the local Odeon would take a leaf out of this book..

Always great seats(all recliners) so plenty of space to walk past viewers who are already seated without disturbing them. Prices for seats are quite reasonable too compared to other cinema outlets and their own previous pricing. Always clean and plenty of toilets. Queues for popcorn can be quite long especially if people are also queuing there to buy their tickets.... would be better to go back to dedicated ticket aisles at peak times in my opinion( i realise they sell them at the popcorn stalls to try to increase profits from selling sweets). Fair variety of Popcorn and sweets and ice cream.. but at inflated prices sadly. I'm sure they'd sell more if they were better priced.( again i realise smaller profit margin, but if you sold more, then you'd still make a profit). Staff always polite. Good venue, ideally placed for Cheshire oaks and the coliseum retail parks, with plenty of places to eat, places to stay and not far from chester zoo and 2 minutes from the motorway.

2nd review Remains a great cinema, staff still helpful and pleasant cinema remains very comfortable. Sadly prices have increased, some seats are as expensive as other cinemas again, at £9.99 which would make a trip extremely expensive for an average sized family, i suspect they sold more tickets when pricing was lower. There are cheaper seats (£8.99 and £7.99- the lowest prices were on the front rows) Still a good venue though.

April 23 Seats still really comfortable. Cinema itself was quite chilly when we visited which is unusual. Staff on the counters really helpful and engaging, and had a sense of humour. Prices remain on a par with other cinemas now which is a shame, if they were a little cheaper would definately go more frequently.

August 23 My review remains the same, great cinema with really comfy seats, but no cheaper than other cinemas and an expensive trip if...

Since I came to this cinema since refurbishment I never go back the Broughton Cineworld. The recliners are comfy, relaxing and it makes the cinema experience better. I will always use this cinema from now on I like it a lot. I have used the recliners a few times now and I love it. However today I went to the iMax and I was very excited as I haven't been in it before. The screen size takes a few mins to take in as its very big compared to other screens which was good. The only dissapointment I came across (which was a big one) was the seats. You pay £5 extra expecting the iMax to be the best of the best but it wasn't for me. The seats are exactly like the old seats before refurbishment but leather. The iMax is supposed to be the best but the seats don't recline (only the front row) and the leg room is worse than a Ryanair flight. The iMax seats should be recliner like the rest of the cinema screens. Very dissatisfied since paying £5 extra which I'd rather watch the film in a standard screen as you cannot beat the recliners. So people reading this - If you want to see an iMax film, beware that other than the front row, the seats don't recline, no tray table, the people either side will steal your cup holders, very cramped room. I wouldn't go back to the iMax until they put recliner seats in their just like the standard screens. Other than the seat disappointment, credit to Vue for showing 5 mins preview of TopGun I cannot wait. So 4...
