Boots Pharmacy — Attraction in London

As an update to my review of a year ago, unofficial lunchtime closures from 1300-1400hrs continue to be not infrequent. These aren't shown on the website, and the closure notice only goes up after the fact, so be cautious when you're planning to picking a up a scrip! My other comments stand; I am a frequent visitor and I certainly have no complaints with staff attitude. They do their best, however Boots needs to show this branch some love. The store's physical layout is not fit for purpose and it appears to be understaffed, leading to unpredictable, and sometimes quite long, waiting times, and the occasional unscheduled lunch time closure. Sadly, despite the staff being well-intended and sincere, the prescription service in this pharmacy is often poor and very slow. The store is always busy, often with a long queue, and clearly needs more staff to sort out their management of repeat prescription orders. Prescriptions are never ready for collection, despite being sent over one week prior, and they frequently have low stock levels necessitating return visits to collect the balance of the same order! The pharmacy's repeat prescription service is hopeless, The pharmacist has no empathy with customers and customer service skills.

I have repeatedly been assured that my prescription will be ready on a give date only to find that it has not even been requested by them. I am currently on hold waiting to find out if the prescription they have requested urgently will be available before I go on holiday.

I will be withdrawing from the repeat prescription service.
