A celebration of the life of the world renowned artist Turner (Joseph Mallord William Turner) brought me to this beautiful church.
Located near Berkeley Square, to mark 250 years of "Turner's London."
I was fascinated, hearing stories about the artist's life, drive, and connections with London - you'll see a map in one of the photos about where the artist went.
There are Turner walks, too.

Although known for his aristocratic patrons, Turner's work also reflected the lives and experiences of ordinary people, including those involved in industry and fishing. He kept his working-class roots, including his Cockney accent, throughout his life.
Something else I enjoyed learning was that Turner was appreciated in his lifetime - often that happens after an artist dies.
On my walk home afterwards, through Berkeley Square, I came across the second Royal Academy buildings, a few minutes walk from the church.
The 250-year celebration continues next month - in Covent Garden - where the artist began life....
