I recently visited Marchesi 1824 on Mount Street, and it was a delightful experience from start to finish. The cafe exudes elegance, blending traditional Italian charm with a modern, luxurious atmosphere. From the moment you step in, you're greeted by attentive staff and the sight of beautifully arranged pastries and chocolates.
The pastries are nothing short of exquisite. The attention to detail in each one is a testament to Marchesi’s heritage and dedication to quality. The flavors are rich and balanced, from the classic cannoli to the beautifully crafted tarts. And the coffee is exceptional — perfectly brewed and the ideal complement to the sweets on offer.
It’s not just about the food and drink, though. Marchesi has a unique ambiance that feels both opulent and welcoming. The decor, with its marble counters and touches of green velvet, creates an experience that’s visually as well as gastronomically pleasing. Whether you’re there for a quick espresso or an indulgent afternoon treat, it’s a beautiful escape in the heart of London.
If you’re looking for a little taste of Milanese elegance, Marchesi Mount Street is a must-visit. It’s a wonderful spot to unwind and enjoy some of the finest Italian pastries you’ll find outside of Italy. Highly...
Read moreMarchesi is without question one of the finest cafés in London. I have visited at different times of the day, and each experience has been consistently excellent. At a time when customer service is sadly declining across many establishments, Marchesi distinguishes itself with freshly made savoury and sweet dishes, an impressive variety of pastries to suit every taste, excellent coffee prepared in different styles, and above all, professionalism, warmth, and meticulous attention to detail.
A very special mention goes to ‘Mihaela’. This review is, in part, a tribute to her, thank you for making every visit delightful. It is undoubtedly a loss for Marchesi that someone professional, warm, and welcoming is moving on. Nevertheless, I am grateful that this place introduced us, and I am glad we will remain in touch. Best of luck with all that lies ahead, dear friend, you will be greatly missed here. I’m also grateful to the rest of the team, Carlo, a manager who leads by example with patience and grace, and Nicola, always friendly...
Read moreThis place has got a very cosy vibe that brings you straight away to Italy. Despite being Italian, I have never had the chance to visit the shops in Milan and, finally, during my last trip to London, I had the pleasure to taste their delicious signatures at the Mayfair store. Even though the shop was very busy and it seemed like they were slightly short of staff, the service was impeccable; everyone was friendly and with professional manners. Carlo, who, if I am not wrong, is the manager, took the time to tell us about Marchesi and the company and suggested pastries and cakes that we decided to try with pleasure: everything was simply delicious! The Aurora cake is definitely my new favourite cake ever… and let’s not mention the cappuccino, one of the best I have had in London! I really hope I will have the chance to come back and take other friends here. Highly...
