Everything smells of damp!!! If you are to drink good wine you can't have a strong smell of damp as otherwise you can't perceive the aromas and enjoy your wine as you should. If you are really into wine I wouldn't recommend this place. Im am now replying to the Winemakers Club comment and I have downgraded the review to 1 and these are my reasons: First of all I think it’s shameful that you think you are the only one with 20 years experience in the world of wine... do you know have much experience I have or the costumers that come to your wine bar? That makes me think that you simply think that you are the best and I’m sorry my friend I don’t think you are, especially after your answer... Also, Google allows me to rate places based on my opinion (not yours) and my humble opinion (as a wine expert, sorry to tell you) is that your wine bar smells too much of damp, even more than these amazing dampy cellers that you mention. And finally I didn’t want to write it in my first review but now that you are giving me the chance to do it I will also add that the waiter (tall middle aged man) was not nice at all (unlike the younger male waiter) and seemed too occupied to take the time to serve us. I hence didn’t like the wine bar overall and now after your clever answer even less... Hence a 1 star.

Great wine tasting experience on a Monday night. It was super quiet as it was Monday but we were given some bonus sparkling wine while we waited for others in the group to arrive. There was a projector that showed information for each wine we tasted and we were given lots of time to discuss and chat between tasting each wine. A flavour wheel and a list of the wines we tasted provided. All the wines we tried were delicious and you get 10% off them at the end of you wish to purchase any. Our charcuterie board was also delicious and they gave us lots of bread to snack on too. And a bonus sweet wine to finish! It was informative but still relaxed and casual, and the pouring is generous! Definitely recommend.

Fairly impressed by the wine list they offered ranging from affordable ones to great burg like PYCM, Gerard Mugneret- and mark up was very reasonable compared to other wine bars in London in my opinion. Not sure if these wines will be still offered, but I am sure they will have more interesting wines later. Staffs were very nice, and charcuterie board was very decent- especially the bread that came along with it. Highly recommendable.

I’ve visited this place twice, as I didn’t want my first impression to be the only one shaping my opinion.

The food is overall good and the wine list is solid. Unfortunately, the main issue is the customer service. On my first visit with my boyfriend, we were completely ignored after receiving our food—no check-backs, no one asked if we wanted another drink or anything else from the menu.

On the second visit, the staff was different, but the experience was almost the same. Once our food arrived, no one checked on us. Instead, the FOH staff sat nearby, chatting and sipping wine. Only after both the table next to us and I tried to get their attention did someone finally come over to ask if we needed anything—without even bothering to clear the table first.

I ordered another glass of red wine, and the waiter offered me a different one to try. Instead of bringing me a clean glass for the tasting, he poured it into the same glass I had just used (different grape, different wine, so of course a different taste and aroma). When I said I was happy with it, I expected a fresh glass, but he simply topped up the one I was already using, while my boyfriend—who ordered a different wine—was given a clean one. I honestly didn’t understand the inconsistency.

It’s a shame, because the location and the atmosphere are lovely. But the service really lacks attention to detail, which feels disappointing—especially considering that customers are...

A lovely rustic bar setting beneath Holborn Viaduct with a great vibe, perfect for a date night.

The wine menu was extensive with lots of variety between old and new world wines so lots to try. They had a great selection of wines by the glass too as well as bottles.

I was disappointed by the service given we only managed to order one glass of wine each in the hour we were there.

The venue seemed busy with it being Valentine's Day and perhaps needed more staff to support the demand. Our server forgot to bring us the wine menu so we could order another round and by the time they came back to take the order we were having to leave after taking too long.

It would be a nice establishment to return to but in London you can find other places of similar character with...
