Super Laundry Company — Attraction in London

I took 2-3 loads of sheets and towels in for a full-service wash-dry-fold just before Christmas when the laundry was really piling up. When I came to collect it I discovered that they had dumped all of the concentrated laundry detergent I left with them (about 15 loads worth) into my 2 or 3 washes. The man I spoke to said people normally only leave the amount they want used.

I am willing to chalk that up to an honest mistake and me being unfamiliar with the system, but when I asked him for £5 back (they charged £50) so I could buy more detergent, he told me I'd have to speak to the manager, who wasn't in that day.

I then took my laundry home and realised that it was almost sticky with detergent. I pulled out the baby items and ran them through my own machine on a rinse cycle. Picture attached of how much soap came out of 5 or 6 items.

I called the manager and he assured me that their wash cycles use 35 litres of water (which is not very much), so there's no way any soap would have been left on the laundry. In the pause while I tried to process this statement, he hung up on me!

So I've paid £50 to carry my laundry back and forth, waste half a bottle of detergent, and now I have to run everything through on rinse (twice) and hang it up myself, anyway. I will never be going back to this...

I went there because it was local and seemed like they have good reviews. I took in two jackets and the guy said it should be 15 each. And told to collect on a specific day which I needed it for. No one called me to inform me of any updates but when I went to collect the jackets I was told that they can’t do one of the jackets as it’s leather. I wasn’t told this when I was handing it in. I was also told that the other jacket that they can clean won’t be done until Saturday. When I needed it for Friday hence I agreed to collect on Thursday. When I was told of the delay I asked for them to just return my jacket as I needed it for a specific day. I was told nothing they can do as they have sent it off elsewhere to get cleaned. Bearing in mind that I only went there because they said they will do dry cleaning at the shop. The shop assistants can’t communicate properly let alone help in a situation where it’s been their fault. I eventually went to collect my jacket on Saturday only to find that it still has marks on it and hasn’t been cleaned properly. And I still had to pay. They simply said they don’t guarantee that tang marks would be removed. It is an absolute joke this place. Avoid this lying...

This is close to the to the Roman Road market. There is another laundrette at Roman Rd corner but it's often packed.

This one has great working machines. Normal load and jumbo (no medium)

But great seating and though a jumbo wash is £6 a jumbo load is basically dry for £2 (a towel had a little dampness but barely)

The attendant there is VERY considerate and helps people who are less able without any hesitation.

It's a really good local business well staffed and the locals are friendly.

The local market is a bit dead but there's a great hardware / security store next door and there is a convenience / grocery over the road.

Roman Rd market is three bus stops away so you can combine doing your laundry and doing a quick shopping session. ...
