The Dome Apartments Camden — Attraction in London

NEVER AGAIN!||||If you don't want to read everything let me summarize ||||- 5 nights didn't saw the cleaning service once ||-CENTRAL HEATING didn't work for the full stay ||-dust and corks under the bed ||-recepcionist didn't seem too happy when I had to go there twice. ||-the shower was cold ||-the towels were stained with God knows what. ||-1 key for 2 persons ||- super expensive for what you actually get ||-rooms doesn't look anything close to the photos. ||||Me and my girlfriend stayed at this "hotel" for 5 nights.||Everything was perfectly fine until we got there... ||First of all we only received 1 key for the room. ||Second of all the room was tidy at first glance.. Least did we knew what we would find... The Dust was massive around the bed. And even corks were found under the bed meaning that the cleaning is quite superficial... || when we dicided that was time to take a shower. The water was BARELY warm during the 5 days. We had to shower with basically cold water. ||2 of the towels where stained with something that we didn't even tried to understand. Leaving us both with 1 body towel and hair towel. If this wasn't good enough. THE CENTRAL HEATING DIDN'T WORK DURING THE ENTIRE STAY 5 NIGHTS . I had to call security during the night to see if they could figure it out. They went to the room and the only thing that they could do was to apologize..(understandable) . We thought ok . we can handle tonight and talk with the recepcionist the day after. Guess what? When I went to the reception, the recepcionist went to the room and basically did what everyone already tried the night before. And said ok this is correct now. And left 30 mins passed. Room still freezing.. I had to go down to the reception once again and instead of changing our room. Nah. She just gave us a small heater that took basically all-day to heat up the room... I should probably also say that she didn't seem very happy to see me going to the reception twice. ||Room cleaning service? NEVER SEEN IT. ||The recepcionist told me that every 3 nights someone would go and clean the room. Never seen anyone during the full stay. We had to put our trash in shopping bags because we didn't had where to put it. ||||Run...

Room was a decent size, and it was relatively clean but other than that... ||||It's not really an apartment, nor is it a hotel. It's like a weird kinda half way house. The building has a large heavy gate for security (which doesn't put you at ease) but the fence next to it is only 2 foot tall. The room had masses of impractical storage space and a random little kitchenette but none of the pretty standard facilities you'd expect to find in a hotel other than a kettle.||||Only 3 pillows on the bed, went down to reception to ask for another (there were 2 of us booked into a double room) and the guy on reception looked at me like I'd just made a really odd request... He was nice enough, and said he'd ask housekeeping for me but that 3 pillows is standard and they didn't have any spare. Ended up sleeping with the little decorative cussion (which was stained) for neck support.||||Walls and windows are paper thin, we were at the back of the property but could still hear all the traffic from the road and people clunking up and down the stairs all through the night.||||There's a weird green light on the ceiling (maybe part of the smoke detector or something?) which projects a big green ring on the floor. That was really annoying, even in the middle of the night when it was pitch black outside the room was still lit up by it. Woke us up a few times. Also, no bedside lamp so you either had the big light on or you sat in a green glow...||||The shower room was very small, barely enough room to fit in the shower with the curtain shut. You'd have to stand sideways if you're on the larger side. And the water took ages to get hot, but then wasn't consistent and kept changing from very hot to ice cold.||||Also, something appeared to be wrong with the TV, as every 10 seconds or so the picture froze but the sound continued and then it took another few seconds to catch up.||||Wouldn't recommend, it's 20 minutes walk to Camden and Kentish Town so in a good spot for gigs, but it's on the edge of a massive council estate and there's plenty of air bnbs closer which are...
