I ordered the King Thali and the food came within 30 seconds. Predictably it was tepid, and I asked the owner to heat it up. After initially disputing my ability to judge temperature, he reluctantly agreed and proceeded to microwave everything double-quick. The food was actually decent - clean, simple home-style Indian food, however I do not think it is worth the price. The King Thali is £16, and for that you get quite simple vegan dishes, an afterthought salad and no sweet dish (which is a staple in most thalis - particularly ones that have such a grandiose name). Read moreMy brother discovered this place last week one lunch time and told us about how fantastic it was. I was there that very evening and wasn't disappointed at all-quite the opposite ; it exceeded my expectations ! The ambiance was relaxed and serene with mellow Krishna mantras and the food was fresh ,delicious and amazingly well priced for the Islington/Camden area .Do save room for the amazing vegan cakes and desserts (The chocolate cake was divine!) I got chatting to the owner, who runs the place with love and dedication. I cannot recommend this eaterie highly enough ,do support this ethical business -we need a Healthy Wealthy branch in every borough! Look forward to going back with friends...

What makes the dosa so good? The pancake is light, crisp and HUGE. The potato filling, fluffy and well spiced. The curry sauce compliments the dosa perfectly. I remember seeing the accompanying beetroot chutney on my first visit and thinking, ‘not for me’ but it is delicious as are the coconut and coriander chutneys. Perfection.
I have had the side dishes of red pepper pakoras which are also excellent.
The restaurant has a wonderfully laidback feel and the owner is similarly calm and welcoming. A must...
