Salvino isn’t trying to be trendy—it’s trying to be true. This family-run Italian deli has been quietly serving Kentish Town locals for years, offering a curated selection of imported goods, handmade sandwiches, and the kind of old-school charm that’s increasingly rare in London.
🧀 Atmosphere The shop is compact, cluttered in the best way, and full of character. Shelves are stacked with pasta, sauces, biscuits, and cured meats, many of which are hard to find elsewhere. It feels more like a corner of Rome than a corner of North London—unpolished, authentic, and deeply personal.
Food & Products Salvino is known for its fresh sandwiches, made to order with Italian salumi, cheeses, and house condiments. Highlights include:
Ciabatta with coppa, pesto, and mozzarella – rich, salty, and perfectly balanced
Frozen handmade pasta – unlabeled but often excellent, if slightly mysterious
Sundried tomatoes & olives – punchy, well-sourced, and ideal for antipasti boards
Mulino Bianco biscuits & other rarities – nostalgic and hard to find in UK supermarkets
Prices can vary, and some items feel steep—but the quality and uniqueness often...

We bought few things for Christmas last year and couldn't believe how pricey it was! But I thought it's all right I understand the quality is really good!
Last time I've been there I paid £77 and as they're always rushing you don't really realize on the moment because you don't even have the time to think! It wasn't super busy either and consider that with staff and 4 customer at thw time it feels super crowded already. Once I arrived home and looked at my grocery bag I thought that £77, almost £80!!! felt like a robbery. I did my math and everything should have costed around £58-£65max!! 10 to 20 pounds more doesn't sound like an honest mistake. I remember the last times I've been there I was leaving the store with a bitterness inside. Non I get why, I was so upset!
Within a comunity like this you want to keep your customers not rob them and reading the reviews I'm not the only one. Such a shame Always do your math...
