Aspendos Grill — Restaurant in London

I went here for the first time this Saturday afternoon, having been told by friends in the area that the food here is delicious. It did not disappoint! I chose to dine in. I ordered the hummus (£4.00) and small chicken shish (not sure how much this cost). The small shish includes 5 pieces of chicken, the large includes 10. I though the small was perfect for one person. But if you are quite hungry, or hope to take home leftovers, go for the large. The man behind the counter also gave me an onion salad and some aubergine to try (both cold). Everything was so delicious. The chicken shish was so tender and juicy. Even the pita bread for the hummus exceeded expectations! (And it was warm, yayyy). The hummus was delicious too.

I had such a relaxing lunch. Including a nice Turkish tea afterwards, which I enjoyed while reading the book I brought with me. It wasn't busy while I was here between 2 and 3 pm (I believe it gets busier later in the evenings). And the lights were quite low, which I found very relaxing and calming.

I can't believe I walked past this place so many times without going in! The food is so good and the staff is super friendly and accommodating.

They have tables out front as well as indoor seating. I look forward to sitting outside here in the summer! (And fyi, no dogs allowed...

We loved the experience of coming here as a family! We ordered the family special for 4. The food was spectacular. The taste is flavourful and the portions are generous. More importantly, the gentleman that served us gave us a big smile, offering us a variety of side to try, some in-house marshmallow treats for the kids and some hot Turkish tea for the adults. It is such a heart-warming memory for us! Thank you so much! I would recommend it to everyone!! PS. It is a busy place for lunch as people like to come and grab some easy lunches to go. There was a small lineup but they managed to serve us very well for the dine-in people. ...

Chips were old or overcooked or oil needs changing- rank. Chicken dry, felt like scraps and the portion size was under what was charged - poor. The only good items were the chilli sauce and freshness of the salad but I won't visit this place again. It was always my go to place for a cheeky kebab if I passed on my way back from a loooooong work day. Definitely going down hill or maybe just with me? Gutted. Make sure you look and check your food before you leave but if the owner felt fine serving it one would think it would be nice....
