I had a very INCREDIBLY TERRIBLE shopping experience. The store shows a complete lack of integrity and only cared about money. The staff is super unprofessional and used the cash register system in an unregulated and arbitrary manner, FORCING customers to pay multiple times for one single order.
After shopping and leaving the supermarket, even after showing the staff my bank statement proving payment, they insisted, citing a system error, that the payment was unsuccessful and demanded that we return to the store to pay again.
The staff carelessly entered an amount on another cash register and asked us to pay once more. After this SECOND payment, the staff, claiming unfamiliarity with the register and the need to rescan the items to record the amount, asked us to pay for the same bill a THIRD time!
The manager showed NO APOLOGY for the inconvenience caused and firmly stated that the first two payments were unsuccessful and in a pending state, assuring us that they would not be charged.
It was only the next day that I discovered ALL THREE TRANSACTION had been successful, meaning I had paid three times for the same bill. Therefore, I had to visit the store again to get a refund, which significantly DISRUPTED MY SCHEDULE. It was an...
Read moreThis place is immense for London, very spacious, very good social distancing, plenty of room for them to add more shelves and products should they want. Lots of products and product options include fruit, veg and meat. Lots of thin cuts of lamb and beef as well as good seafood and tofu options. Excellent instant ramen and noodles generally at what I know are decent prices. Overall better value than Yo Yo up the road, but maybe this will drive some competition. Staff were efficient at the check-outs, something I like. Security guard was very friendly, making sure everyone had their hands sanitised as they came in without being too intrusive or pushy. Even though I don't live in the area, I will be returning here, particularly to see what they do with the kitchen and serving counters that appear to be under...
Read moreLocated in a new residential complex that's very clean and tidy. Closest station is Aldgate East - Opposite the local Curzon cinema. Parking on adjacent streets (Free on Weekends and after 17.30 on weekdays) Looks newly opened as a third of the shelves and fresh produce sections are not stocked yet - Massive range of Chinese, Korean, Taiwanese, Japanese frozen products - If you are a noodle fan this is the place for you. It has a dedicated sake area - I think this space is wasted - they should use it as a hot food deli take-away or boba tea franchise instead. But overall a pleasant shopping experience - Prices are same as other asian supermarkets in Chinatown. Check out the 360º...
