Hotpot restaurants have become a culinary sensation, offering a delightful experience that combines taste, variety, and value. The essence of a good hotpot lies in its soup base, which can range from the fiery spiciness of a Sichuan broth to the subtle flavors of a clear bone soup. The variety doesn't stop there; diners can choose from an array of fresh ingredients, including thinly sliced meats, crisp vegetables, and succulent seafood, all ready to be cooked to perfection in the bubbling pot. The communal aspect of hotpot dining also adds to the enjoyment, as friends and family gather around the pot, cooking and sharing food together. Moreover, the generous portions served at hotpot restaurants ensure that no one leaves the table hungry. It's not just about quantity, though; the quality of the ingredients plays a crucial role in making the meal memorable. And when it comes to value, many hotpot places offer deals like a 20% discount for early diners, making it an affordable luxury. This combination of taste, variety, value, and the joy of shared dining makes hotpot a standout choice for food enthusiasts looking for a unique and satisfying meal. Whether it's for a casual get-together or a special celebration, hotpot is a versatile option that caters to diverse palates and dietary preferences, solidifying its reputation as a top dining experience. Indeed, the best hotpot restaurants are those that offer not just food, but an experience that lingers in the memory long after the meal has ended.

I've been here 4 times and each better than the previous time though the 4th time was great there were some inconveniences but to begin when walking in, it feels like a normal hotpot place and it pretty much is, it's just that there's a lot of halal options considering it's in an area filled with a lot people of islamic faith. The first thing I wanted was a tomato broth alongside a spicy broth. The spicy broth isn't halal despite the menu saying it is halal. I've been here 4 times since Ramadan and I've always gotten it. For me this is very disappointing because a lot of us love spicy food and you could argue probably more than the local people. So I hope they either fix the menu or create an actual spicy halal broth which I'd prefer if they create a spicy halal broth. As for the food, the beef, the lamb were all amazing and when you mix garlic, sesame oil and coriander it's amazing and if your put a little bit of this in a bowl full of tomato broth, it's so delicious. I went during a day there was a massive discount of 50% and I didn't know there was a catch that you'd have to a write a review to get the discount which I think is very disingenuous. But I did enjoy it but just being told to do that to get a discount is outrageous. I wrote a previous review in the restaurant but I now wrote a note informed review of my experience in the hotpot place. I would recommend this place for spicy food lovers only. Overall my experience here would be an 8/10 which is great

We recently dined here and had a mixed experience. While the experience wasnāt terrible, it left much to be desired. To start, the tea had a decent flavor but wasnāt particularly memorable. One unique aspect of the place is the option to cook your own food, which can be fun for some, but aside from that, there wasnāt anything that stood out as extraordinary about the dining experience. The service, while attentive, was quite chaotic. Throughout the evening, 4-5 different staff members were involved in serving our table, which made the entire process feel disorganized and inconsistent. As for the food, we ordered a mushroom soup and a vegetable dishes. The soup we ordered, however, was lacking in spices, making it rather bland. At one point, a waiter began pouring additional water to our soup without even asking. The soy sauce, unfortunately, was far too acidic, overpowering the dish it accompanied. The veggies were fine but nothing remarkableādecent flavors, but not memorable enough to stand out. If you're looking for something extraordinary, you may want to explore other menu items. The ambiance of the place is loud, making it better suited for younger crowds or larger groups who donāt mind a lively, noisy atmosphere. Overall, while the setting is energetic, the chaotic service and average food left me feeling underwhelmed. It may work well for a casual night out with friends, but not if you're seeking a relaxed dining experience. Additionally, the staff made us feel rushed throughout the meal. It was clear they were eager to turn over tables quickly, as there was a visible queue of people waiting to be seated. This left us feeling pressured to finish our meal faster than we would have liked. In summary, while the concept of cooking your own meal adds a unique touch, the lackluster food and rushed service made for an underwhelming experience overall. If you're looking for something relaxed and flavorful, this might not be the best place.

Coming from a Chinese background we had high expectations of what hotpot should be like, and this place did not disappoint in terms of food quality. For a place that recently opened it was already very busy and full of Chinese people (which is a good sign). The interior reminded me of another famous hotpot restaurant in London, bright, modern and had booth seats. Like most hotpot restaurants you select your hotpot ingredients by ticking the menu sheet given, and they bring your ingredients to you. The ingredients were fresh and food quality was good, although on the pricier side and a few main hotpot ingredients were missing (deep fried bean curd rolls, assorted balls with filling etc). They have options for platters with a combination of ingredients from different sections, however it was limiting and the variety could have been better. For two people you would have needed to order alot of the platters to have abit of everything. Saying that, their meat quality is really good and definitely worth getting - especially the hand cut lamb fillet. Overall it was a good experience, and we would come back but with more people as it works out better. Their service was Ok but could be better as our table was given to someone else mistakenly. Luckily we didnāt wait long. Maybe freebies will also attract and obtain customers, like another branch of hotpot restaurant in London that is famous for given out freebies. Value for money: 7/10 Food: 9.5/10

I recently visited Hotto Potto and was very disappointed with the experience. The restaurant advertised a 20% discount, which was one of the main reasons I chose to dine there. However, when I received the bill, I was informed that the discount would only be applied if I paid the service charge. This condition was not made clear in their advertisement. Instead it felt like the waiter was instructed through his earpiece at that moment, when I asked to remove the service charge, to tell me about this condition. According to the Consumer Protection from Unfair Trading Regulations 2008, it is illegal to engage in misleading advertising and false representations about prices and discounts. By failing to disclose that paying the service charge was a condition to receive the discount, the restaurant's advertisement was misleading and in breach of these regulations (reg 5). In the end, I felt compelled to pay the service charge, but I will not be dining here again, nor will I recommend it to anyone. Especially considering how unsatisfactory the meal was, I left feeling nauseous and disappointed with the quality. The broth tasted like watered-down disappointment, and they couldn't even muster up a drop of Sriracha or Tabasco to salvage it. I'd sooner feast on the grimy pavements of East London than subject myself to another meal at this so called restaurant. I have included the advertisement and the receipt in this review.
