All make up enthusiasts with know how well regarded and anticipated it is to have PM to come to the UK. Unfortunately the sales consultant today was the biggest let down. I came with the view to finally swatch and test out all of PM beauty range, however the consultant was such put off that I only managed to swatch a highlighter.
I came 2 days before the major launch of her first ever foundation and skin system range, with the view to order online after getting colour matched. From the moment I Sat down, I felt No enthusiasm from her, no conversation or anything to make me feel that this product had any speciality to other high end foundations or even to engage with me. It's a 60 pound foundation. I wasn't exactly going to blindly purchase online without getting matched first. Just from this consultant alone I think I am not going to purchase this foundation purely because when she put the foundation on my face, she made no effort to cover up my pores or imperfection. So i am left so confused as to whether this foundation is suitable for me. Was the application rubbish or the product itself. In all honesty, I trust the product to be fantastic but now I don't know if the product is flop or the lack lusture consultant is to blame.
Please, please Selfridges can you train your staff to stop being so judgemental when a customer walks in. The average person is not going to be size 6 model at 21 years of age flashing about. I don't know what she was thinking, but for someone who doesn't show passion and enthusiasm for their brand and doesn't want to interact with the customer is an absolute shame as I have come to the store to interact, otherwise I could if just ordered online! She literally made me feel I knew nothing about make up and I must of just accidentally made my way into the store. I showed more current knowledge and conversation building than her!
