The Lawn Club — Restaurant in Manchester

We booked Bottomless Brunch for 7 having read the lovely reviews online and seen the quirky look of the location - do not be fooled. Now, I’m not one for a review unless I deem it completely necessary but was by far the worst bottomless brunch I’ve ever experienced. As soon as we entered the location and we’re told to take a seat, the staff member told us that they were ‘very understaffed and very busy’, given this we decided to order our food straight away to all allow the time they should need to prepare it. We were sat on benches in an outbuilding where we might as well have been sat outside, the temperature was so cold and we were advised by a member of the team that as we were one of the first tables to be seated in here they had just turned the heating on and it would start to warm up- 45 mins later we receive some warmth and 5 minutes following this it goes off again and goes back down to the previous temperature.

After almost an hour of waiting we received 2 of the pizzas (/7) and 40mins later STILL didn’t have 2 of the pizzas. When we discussed this with staff they told us they were ‘too busy’ to deal with it, same as when we asked for sauces and waiting an appalling 20mins for a bottle of Prosecco. I understand busy but there’s no excuse for bad service. A table near us were served their food before us when we arrived before them - when querying this the staff member lied and said that they were here before us when we knew this was not true. They then decided instead of bringing our pizzas to bring a garlic bread ‘while we wait’, well I’m not being funny but if you’ve managed to make 5 meat pizzas then I don’t understand how you can’t make a margarita but you can make a garlic bread? I find it appalling that after complaining to a member of staff 4 times about where our food was everyone else had d finished their food and other tables were being served their food.

Every time we tried to discuss this issue with a member of the team they were either rude or not concerned- including the supervisor who tried to make up for it with ‘free booze’ when it’s already bottomless!

I understand that every company has a bad day where they’re understaffed but we pay for a service and what we received wasn’t anything like it should’ve been and there was no acceptance from staff members about it- it was always...

Abysmal service. Would NOT recommend to come here again. My food never came. Simple as that. I ordered food, and over an hour later when we came to the end of our booking, my food still hadn't turned up. My friends food took 30 mins and another friends food took 45 mins to arrive! I highlighted the fact that I still hadn't received my food to the waiter several times yet nothing was done about it. I received no communication or apology that my food was running late. I spoke to the manager on duty 'Tom' who didn't even apologise for the fact my food had not come after an hour, all he did was tell me how short staffed they were and that there was a 20 minute delay on food! He said he would give me a refund and then left without letting me know whether he was actually going to chase up my food, so that I could eat before we had to give the table up which was in the next 5 mins, or how I was going to be refunded. I then had to ask to speak to him again only to be told he was "too busy" to speak to me! I literally sat at that table for nearly and hour and a half and then left without my food even arriving, seriously how can they let this happen?! Honestly I have never experienced worse communication and customer service than here. Apart from all of this, the menu was limited and the food was apparently average (I wouldn't know personally).
