I’ve been getting my hair cut here for about a year and a half now and have been extremely satisfied every time. I’ve most recently been cut by Stu, who’s done a very solid job at prettifying my chaotic barnet. Every barber I’ve had before him have also been brilliant, providing an insight into the way I cut my hair that other barbers just haven’t.

While the price is premium compared to other barbers, you really do get what you pay for. This isn’t your local high street Turkish barber giving you a skin fade in 10 minutes, rushing to get as many clients through the door as possible. After experiencing many different barber's around nottingham over the years I can say that I would recommend Yōkai to those looking for a place that will not let you down. I had a haircut and beard trim by Stu and James, they take a lot of consideration of your needs and can give knowledgeable recommendations on different hair types. I managed to get in a cancellation slot when in need before an event and was far from disappointed. I've been a regular at this barbershop for over a year after trying a few others in Notts, and it's largely thanks to James. The atmosphere is welcoming and laid-back.
