Pitcher & Piano Nottingham

Although this is a very beautiful pub /restaurant, the experience we had was far from great.

We booked in advance a table for 13 of us for a birthday party. When we were about to order food we were told that from their menu 3 dishes were unavailable and that they had ran out of both of their fish options. As we went round the table ordering, the person who originally wanted to order the sea bass ordered the steak, the very next person tried to order a steak as well - and that had than ran out! This was at 3pm on a Sunday and the pub / restaurant was nearly empty.

Once we had ordered the food my son, who's birthday we were celebrating ordered a Mock-tail. After he had drank some, one of the staff came over and said he could not finish the drink as "it looked like alcohol" But we ordered it from their staff so they knew it wasn't. Using their logic couldn't a coke in a glass look exactly the same as a Vodka and coke? Apple juice can look similar to a cider etc. When we go out to other pubs and restaurants we have never experienced that problem before.

Once the food came out, I enjoyed my dish (Homemade Chicken Kebab) and the food looked nice, but they had forgotten to add the baked beans to the kids meals, (but this was quickly sorted).

When the bill came, we then found that coffees had been added to our bill by mistake. We hadn't ordered any coffees at that point! Which makes you wonder if they were right with the rest of the items on the bill.

The actual service from the lady serving us was good, but I certainly wouldn't recommend the Nottingham Pitcher and Piano for food,
