Must-Visit Brunch Spot: Warmth, Quality, and Delicious Food! Rating: 5/5 Stars

The Hungry Pumpkin Cafe is a true gem and a delightful spot for brunch. Located just steps away from our accommodation, we were lucky to discover this unique, family-owned Café Deli.

We visited for brunch and, due to its obvious popularity, we had a short wait for a table—a testament to its excellent reputation! The atmosphere inside is warm, cozy, and inviting, making it the perfect place to settle in. The food was absolutely delicious. I thoroughly enjoyed the lasagna special, which was homemade and flavorful, and my husband raved about his omelet. Everything tasted freshly prepared, which aligns perfectly with their commitment to using locally sourced ingredients.

It’s clear this café takes immense pride in its offerings, from the food specials to their selection of Italian coffee and Teapig tea. Whether you are looking for a quick panini, homemade pasta, or just a quality cake, the menu has so much to offer.

We highly recommend the Hungry Pumpkin for anyone in the area looking for high-quality, authentic food served in a lovely, cozy...

We moved to Nottingham City a few weeks ago and The Hungry Pumpkin Cafe/Restaurant was on our short list to visit. It was easy to find, very cute outside, a few tables and chairs to sit and enjoy a meal on a quiet back road. Beautifully decorated inside, surprisingly large with quite a few tables to choose from. You can tell that the locals walk in and out throughout the day because many of them popped in to pick food up while we were there. The place is absolutely spotlessly clean. Andrea greeted us with the most welcoming smile, we instantly felt at home. The food is all home made, and the chef had no issues changing things up a bit with adding fresh vegetables to my husbands meal. Everything was so delicious and we finished every morsel on our plates. My hubby had dessert, and we ordered some to take home for later because it was scrumptious. If you're looking for a simple snack or a delicious home cooked meal, then visit The Hungry Pumpkin on High Pavement in Nottingham City Centre. We're definitely going to become...

After reading reviews online I decided to try this little independent café, and see whether the glowing online praise was correct.

Thankfully, not only was what I had read accurate, if anything it was underplayed ! Very polite and friendly staff. The food on display in the chill cabinet is mouthwatering, which bodes well for what you order off the menu. My friend chose the hungry pumpkin breakfast, whilst I had halloumi, poached egg, and avocado on sourdough toast. The food was not only tasty but beautifully presented. The coffee has a magnificent aroma and not too bitter taste. Having seen the size of the portions others had ordered, it is fair to say that it is not any value for money but really good quality fresh food. I cannot recommend this small family run establishment enough. Every time I come to Nottingham from now on I will have lunch at this fantastic business. Every town needs a great independent business like...

We visited the Hungry Pumpkin after doing a quick Google search for nice places to eat for lunch in Nottingham city Centre. The location is lovely and on a slightly quieter street than the main hustle and bustle of the main streets in the centre. We were welcomed by the very friendly staff and seated quickly to a table. We chose soup, Panini and the jacket potato for our meals. Although we waited a little while for our food to come (this was understandable however due to lots of takeout orders and the café tables inside being full also) we were not disappointed when the food did arrive, it was delicious! We all enjoyed our meals and it was great value too. My daughter even chose some cannoli too take out. We will definitely be back, thank you. ☺️
