Rituals — Attraction in Portsmouth

OCT 2018 Very disappointed with Customer Service , I entered this store the day before my Birthday with my Mother and we were greeted by a helpful kind young sales assistant that couldn't do enough to help us initially I had only gone into shop to browse , the shop was quiet at this stage then soon became very busy and as i fell in love with the smells decided to treat myself which isn't something i do very often then along came another older Sales assistant who completely took over I guess she would have been around late 20's where as the young girl who initially was serving us told us she was only 16yrs old, but she was brilliant and I said if I were to spend a certain amount was there any discounts that could be made and about any samples which i believe she was going to give myself and my Mother but this other one took over which i found rude and the only sample we each got was one little sachet of body cream but we spent around £100 between us, i was not impressed and felt it was mean as it was my Birthday which i could have proved if needed to do so. Rictuals products are however amazing and i love what i purchased but don't expect anything else , like a discount because we spent a considerable amount unless Sales Assistant didn't consider this amount to be worthy. Myself and my Mother rarely treat ourselves and have been a bad couple of years and this was meant to be ...

Went in to purchase a present only to be shocked that the minimum purchase was two items......? Really? I had previously purchased this same item and only one of the product. Was advised by a staff member that they legally could not give the outlet price unless I bought two or more because of their outlet in Eire , kildare shopping outlet......🤔... really? Asked for area manager's name to complain and said was this not embarrassing for them to explain to customers and could they actually get away with this, also said I bet they had alot of people walk out and lost sales, they said yes . Was going to buy 4 but will not be dictated to as to how many I can buy so went to The White Company purchased £130 of products then into Molton Brown for another £80 Of products.

Think Rituals may need to look at this...

Took one item to the till and then kept hold of it once I had purchased and said that well basically I wasn’t allowed to go without buying two items, was very close to considering calling the police as I’m sure this is wrong on many many levels. Spoke to a few others about this after and they agree someone above should definitely be contacted. Disgusting, very pressuring and they even looked me up and down as I was wearing trackies since I had to get a coach which is right around the corner and I was rushing the only reason I bought the second one was because I’d already bought the first and that meant returning it which is very embarrassing for someone with high anxiety and because I would’ve missed my coach and the items were Valentine gifts. Won’t be returning. They make enough money as it is off...
