We recently visited Bella Italia Gunwharf, and it was an absolutely fantastic dining experience. From the moment we arrived, we were greeted with a warm welcome and given the option of indoor or outdoor seating. Since it was a beautiful sunny day, we chose to sit outside, enjoying the fresh air and the lovely waterfront views. The outdoor seating had a relaxed and vibrant atmosphereāperfect for soaking up the sunshine while watching the world go by. Now, onto the foodāeverything we ordered was fresh, full of flavor, and cooked to perfection. I had the Cheeseburger, and it was one of the juiciest, most flavorful burgers Iāve had in a while! The beef patty was thick and cooked perfectly, staying tender and succulent. The melted cheese on top added a creamy richness, and the soft, lightly toasted bun brought it all together. Served with crispy golden fries, it was a hearty and satisfying meal. The Carbonara was another highlight. The pasta was perfectly cooked, coated in a creamy, silky sauce with just the right balance of richness. The pancetta added a delicious smoky flavor, and the Parmesan on top gave it a lovely finishing touch. What made it even better was that our server kindly offered to grate extra cheese on top, which made the dish even more indulgent and delicious! The Chicken Milanese was equally impressive. The crispy, golden breaded chicken was tender and juicy on the inside, but what truly made the dish outstanding was the buttery garlic sauceārich, fragrant, and bursting with flavor. It paired beautifully with the crispy coating of the chicken and made every bite absolutely irresistible. The side salad added a fresh contrast, making the dish feel perfectly balanced. The service was top-notch, with friendly and attentive staff making sure we had everything we needed. They were happy to accommodate any requests, and their attention to detail made the experience even more enjoyable. With delicious food, excellent service, and the perfect outdoor setting, our meal at Bella Italia Gunwharf was a wonderful experience from start to finish. Weāll definitely be back and highly recommend it to anyone looking for tasty Italian food in a great location!

Bella Italia was a nice restaurant, we were approached and seated quickly, wasn't too busy as expected on Wednesday evening. We ordered our drinks and they arrived promptly, after which we ordered starters and mains which came in a timely fashion. One issue that I noted after we had received our mains is there was no side order bought to us. š I called a waitress and pointed this out, she quickly admitted she had forgotten it and set about getting it to us, very admirable, no problem there. The food was pretty good, mushroom soup thing was really good (sorry, can't remember what is was actually called) pork meatballs were 'meh' but sauce was great. The macaroni cheese was lacking the cheese part, a considerable amount of pasta was just plain. There is no such thing as too much cheese. š The atmosphere was mostly good, chilled, relaxed, it was someone's birthday so they got a birthday song and some gelato. That was really nice. Shortly before we left however, there was a young man that came in and did not wait to be seated by a host but walked to the bar and spoke to staff before being shown a table. Once he was seated and even before he was constantly talking on his phone and fidgeting without ordering, stumbling and swaying to the toilets and back. It was quite evident he was drunk or on drugs, this made it very uncomfortable for us as he was seated close by. P.S. To the people reviewing, expecting good fries and/or burgers at an Italian restaurant - it's not Italian food genius's. š

Sorry, not sorry! Such a dissapoing experience tonight. I am posting this for the attention of the managers running this branch to review and address 1 about 6 options of food missing from the menu and 3 options of drinks - missed opportunity 2 not enough bread served with starters. Could not finish the dishes without the bread. I might be wrong but I think on previous occasions they served two slices of bread instead of one .. 3 way too much chilli peppers on the dishes. We ordered the same a couple of weeks ago so I know that is not how they were meant to be. This is I consistent and I won't trust the dish next time 4 on one dish the mushrooms were completely burned...the dish tasted awful. Also, inconsistencies with pasta..one was boiled to much and the other one just about.. 5 I don't think it's ok to add the service charge without letting the customers know or at least let them know when you bring the bill as not everyone will check (other countries this is illegal) 6 salt and pepper on the table for decorative purpose only. No salt or pepper and the waitress seemed offended when we had to ask her for salt.. in fact they were clearly bothered with everything. 7 table and menu wet and sticky 8 extremely cold inside and no option to dine upstairs. When your only available table si by the door you should consider your customers comfort over your own. All the starters were delicious, but the mains were really dissapoing and the overall experience very very poor..

The location is really good, next to the Spinnaker Tower and the harbour and on a sunny day, it is absolutely beautiful. We queued for about 10 minutes to be seated outside (party of 5) but it was a busy Saturday. We were shown to a table which had just been vacated and cleaned. We were then given a QR code to make our order. Knives & forks were in a clay cylinder on the table & there were no napkins. The coffee machine was out of order, so all hot drinks were struck though on the app menu. We ordered 3x Pollo Funghi, 1x Meatfeast pizza, 1x Sea Bass & 3x garlic Ciabatta. With drinks, the bill came to £123. I had a 660ml bottle of Moretti which was £6.99 (£6/pint). The self-service app automatically applies a 10% service charge, which if not deselected, you'd have to pay even before you've had the food. The food came really quickly after order, which was good. Everyone was happy with their food. The Ciabatta was a bit small. There were individual staff who were friendly and welcoming but on the whole, they were busy getting on with business. I can't blame them on a busy day. It was a beautiful day and we enjoyed the food but just wasn't the outside dining experience I'd hoped for, when spending that much for just mains. Ordering for ourselves, the cost and the general ambience made it a very average visit.

It was a little bit disappointed for me overall. Firstly: Iāve used 10 minutes to try to order stuff, it is not that easy to find a waiter/waitress to help us order things. After this, Iāve been waiting for about 40-50 minutes for waiting the food, it was the most disappointing thing about the restaurant, which I can see not only me, but most of the customers in the restaurant got the same situation in there as me. Personally, it was ok to not working fast, but at least not that slow. Sometimes, I can see that when a order is done, the waiters/waitress donāt send it out, thereās a cup of fries in the waiting zone that is done, but over 15min. nobody send it out. Fortunately, the food wasnāt too bad and the spaghetti was creamy, cheesy, and tasty. I would give a 9/10 for the spaghetti, it was incredibly good. The fries were unbelievably crunchy and crispy, it was definitely better than 5 Guys. As I do, I will try to be polite and the waiter/waitress there were very kind and friendly. Speed:2/10 Food:8.8/10 Cleanness:8/10 Cozy:7/10 It was a little bit bad. Itās a 3/5

I went to Bella Italia for their unlimited dough balls (yes, UNLIMITED!) and honestly, Iām still dreaming about them. Soft, warm, golden bites of carby perfection ā served with garlic butter that had me literally wiping the plate clean. Just when I thought I couldnāt possibly eat more, I found room... because Leah, our fabulous server, made sure the baskets just kept coming! Leah was an absolute star from start to finish ā super friendly, full of good vibes, and totally on it when it came to topping us up without us even needing to ask. She made the whole experience feel special and fun, like we were VIP guests at the dough ball palace. Whether you're going for a casual catch-up, date night, or just want to live your carb-loving dreams ā run, donāt walk to Bella Italia. And if youāre lucky enough to get Leah as your server? Youāre in for a 10/10 experience. šāØ
