Venues like this always surprise me as the owners must spend a fortune on interior design and rent for a waterfront location. They have lovely well designed menus and well thought out layouts. Loads of investment and with good management our experience would have increased massively. So we walked in on a rainy quiet rainy morning. The venue is massive and it can take many customers and has many covers which is great. However no one greeted us and we walked aimlessly looking for some correct guidance or a welcome at least. Nothing happened so we sat ourselves down in a prominent position overlooking the water and patio. We chatted and waited and then we waited some more, still nothing happened. So i went up to the bar area where 4 or 5 staff were pouring coffees and drinks for some other customers. I asked whether it was waiter/waitress service knowing full well that it was. The reason i asked was to prompt some acknowledgement. I was told that it was waiter/ waitress service so i smiled and went back to the table. Sure enough a polite and pleasant waitress turned up and took the order. The food was actually better than i expected and the coffee and the smoothies were also excellent. The cost i thought was reasonable for what we had it was just the service was non existent and they had only five tables being served. Clearly there is a complete lack of management since any good one would have just greeted us sat us down and said someone would be over soon. Then we needed to use the washroom and the gents was disgusting. No one had clearly cleaned for days and if they claim they had they should have been sacked. There was no staff inspection regime as many venues have and the whole washroom lacked any cleanliness or pride. Clearly when you see neglected washrooms you cant help wondering what the kitchen is like? So why did i score it 3 stars and not 2. Well the food seemed great the position was great, the drinks were good and the view was good. The customer restaurant area was great and very trendy and appealing so its hard to be toil critical. It’s just that they need to sack the cleaners and motivate the serving staff to serve. I couldn’t believe it when the waitress gave me a customer service card with her name on it and asked for feedback. Anyway it would be unfair to name her since her approach was no different to anyone else’s. It’s just who is running this place? Hopefully things will be improved since it wouldn’t take much just someone who...
Read moreBy far the worst dining experience I have ever had. Disgustingly bad service from a staff that didn’t seem to care at all.
My partner and myself were in the shopping centre on a Sunday when the weather was nice so thought to get a bite to eat in the outdoor seating area.
A sign said to just find a table and scan code to order etc. The majority of the free tables hadn’t been cleared from the previous customers, and we ended up clearing a table ourselves to get us seated.
We then ordered 2 drinks, nothing came for 30 mins so we went inside to ask if everything was okay (as it was just 2 drinks), only to see our drinks sat on a tray ready to be served. We were told the drinks would be right out. Another 10 mins and they finally came. After 40 mins, we finally received our initial drinks order, and we were finally able to have our table wiped down (after asking). There were some tables full of plates left for over 30 mins at a time. None of the staff seemed to be bothered.
Then, another 40 mins wait for the food which came out completely cold. Again, I assume it was made and sat ready on the counter for ages. A simple lunch ended up wasting over 2 hours of time, and when the food finally came it was cold!
Absolutely disgusting service from the staff I do not recommend any one go there and we certainly will never go to another All Bar One after the shockingly bad...
Read moreThe breakfast was pretty good, and service was timely, however I thought that the music was too loud inside for a breakfast/lunch ambience, the tables were very sticky and a great many of them still had dirty plates from the last customers laid out on them.
When I ordered, I asked to substitute out my mushroom for a hash brown and was told this was not possible.
I had the option of extra beans (or veg of some kind) so I opted for more beans. When it arrived it was barely even bigger than the regular beans. Photo for comparison with a regular beans pot inside mine. It's ridiculous that this is considered 'extra' beans.
Also after 12 noon, a member of my party ordered a coffee, only to be told that this is not served after noon. We then discovered that coffee is on the regular menu without a restriction on timings so she returned to the bar, to request the coffee once again. She was then told that the coffee machine was broken which I suspect to be a lie, as they changed their story on approaching the bar for the second time, and people had been served coffee (including me) only...
