Iâm not really sure how to explain it as there is both good and needs improvement. The room is small and well set up, the simulators are sturdy and the graphics are good. My daughter really enjoyed it having done it before somewhere else but she had the speed restricted some of the time and my son had his speed restricted the whole time. I only had mine unrestricted as I crashed into a wall and was pressing every button trying to find reverse or maybe I did it before that as I was still winging it. I had to ask for help when in the wall and the instructions given still werenât clear so they came over to help. I didnât really get what I was doing until a few minutes from the end. My daughter loved it though as did my partner. My son was not happy as he didnât set a fast lap time as he had the restrictions on. He is at the bottom end of the age range but perfectly capable when shown what to do but he wasnât. I couldnât hear the instructions at the beginning and neither did my kids. No one noticed or checked about the speed restriction nor noticed me sat in the wall trying to work out what to do. Now Iâm not saying we need to be babysat but it wasnât busy and even if it was there arenât too many simulators for the staff not to keep an eye on you. It is the total opposite at Goodwood where they pop over to check on you if they can see you struggling or needing guidance which is great. I also had no audio until it randomly started a few minutes from the end. Having team chat would be awesome. When it finishes thatâs kind of it and a bye. There is a podium so could have got you to stand on this for a photo or something to end on a high (potential social media sharing moment too) and wanting to come back. They are also missing a trick by not having add on purchases of your game play and a camera recording you. The full thing or âbest bitsâ would be awesome to buy. Plus an added money maker for the lounge. Overall if you know what you are doing youâll have a great time. If you donât then you are kinda on your own. Maybe I shouldnât have had a go and helped my son even if I had no idea what I was doing either. But everywhere else we go if we all take part have engaged with my youngest and made sure he was ok and understood everything. I hope this has been constructive rather than negative as this place has huge potential but itâs just...
Read moreCame for opening day with my son. Really impressive set up. The racing simulators are high end. All of the staff in company attire were really polite and helpful. The partner race team were also there and very accommodating.
Ultimately, the experience would have been a 5. However, when attempting to pay during booking, I was told it was free at that time as part of the opening day event. It was only going to be my son racing, but i was invited to try it out. Both myself and son sat in the sims ready to start and a woman carrying a glass of champagne walked behind us, and without acknowledging us, just said a phrase along the lines of 'he needs to pay, and he needs to pay'. There were no other words uttered. There was no acknowledgment of us as potential customers; and this lady just walked away out of the building. It was very rude. She was clearly more interested in mingling with the mayor and other visitors than locals interested in the new business. It really was a dissapointing experience in that regard. It was suggested to me that this person was one of the investors. Perhaps, this was out of character; and it was merely the stress of opening day mixed with a little too much champagne. But customer experience is vital, and an extremely important part of any service or product that is being sold.
Importantly, I happily paid for my sons experience (ÂŁ15 for 20mins) and sat back to watch him enjoy it from the comfort of the sofa. He really did enjoy it. The person serving us was very apologetic about what had happened and seemed really decent. We had a good chat about the simulators. But the experience with the investor really isnt what any customer or human being should experience. Clearly not part of the day to day. But i can only judge from the experience on the day. It really is a shame as I try my best to support local businesses as much as I can. I cannot remember the last time I wrote a negative review (or review...

My partner booked this for us as a farthest day gift for us and the two kids (10 year old and 15 year old) upon arrival 20 mins early everything was very rushed. The venue was very quiet and only two other people in racing at the time.
Instructions where not clear, no help for the youngest who spent the whole time in limited mode as was not shown the controls. This then ended in him having an episode due to his autism.
This was a real shame as I was really looking forward to this and it has so much potential.
Quite a bit of money for 20 minutes to be disappointed.
The boy wants to go back and give it another try but not too sure.
Great expectations but unfortunately needs...
