Royal Victoria Arcade — Local services in Isle of Wight

this mini shopping centre is lovely to go into, but lacks modernisation. or maybe just lacks shops in it. there is a record shop, a cigar store, and a few places selling odd bits and bobs, but the majority of the places are left bare and badly maintained. i wish some money would be pumped into it to turn it into a proper mini shopping centre, as i think Ryde would benefit from that.

Whenever you want something more than 50 years old, come here. Not just the stall and shop sellers, but their goods as well, sometimes over 100 years old. Even got posters about my old family in the cellars from 200 years ago, and I think the ice well only opens a few days a year is from around the 1830's using ice bought down from Norway! Have to go back to find that out, and the opening days. Fun place, with Great burger and fantastic all...

Ventured in to avoid a shower and found AJs cafe. Wow what a delight to behold - a 50/60s American style establishment.The waitress was an absolute delight - a pretty young lady dressed in blue and white heavily petticoated dress as in the 60s style. Great service and lovely drinks.Surrounded by pictures of all the old 50/60s American pop stars. Do give a look...
