This is my last night in Nurtur House, so I'd like to leave a comment to share my experience in this impressive student accommadation.
-Location: Nurtur House is located in a quiet place. There are hardly any cars passing on the road at night, so I could have a good sleep. It's close to Shalesmoor station and the tram can take you to train station in 20 minutes. There's also a Tesco Superstore within walking distance, where I usually did my weekly shopping. You could walk to The Diamond in 10 minutes though you need to clime a small hill - this did not bother me.
-Facilities: Very new facilities. I did not experience any damage to the facilities, either in my own room or in the public areas. One shortcoming is there's only a microwave oven in the room, and sometimes it's not working as efficiently as the oven. The "dining table" is close to the wall, so I couldn't stop the sauce from splattering on the wall
-Team: Friendly and helpful on-site team. The most important thing is Nurtur House has 24/7 concierge desk. The security team at night was very dedicated and made me feel safe.
Some residents have complained about the room inspections. The Nurtur Team always gave notifications two weeks in advance, so I don't mind room inspections. However, this is also one of the things you need to consider before you make a decision on booking Nurtur House.
-Price:...
Read moreThis is the second year I stay in Nurtur House and the main reason I rebook this place is that I feel like this place is my home.
Environment/Facilities.
I prefer to choose a living place that is quiet all the time, and the location of Nurtur House is good.
Also, the basic facilities are nice. One thing I need to mention is that the sound insulation of the wall is quite good (Except for the door, I can hear the voice when someone passes by).
Besides, the scenery through the window is pretty.
Staffs
Instead of finishing the daily work like machines, the staffs here treat me like their friend even though I do not have much time to chat with them. Their positive attitudes toward work make me feel like this is a trustable and lovely place to live.
Safety
This place is relatively safe because of the 24/7...
Read moreExcellent service here, all the staff are friendly especially Shelley who always goes above and beyond. She will always try her best to accommodate requests and is really polite and kind. The rooms are great value, even the smallest studios are quite big and have more than enough space. The building is always very clean and tidy and there is a portal for reporting maintenance issues, booking onto events, managing payments etc. Maintenance issues are fixed quickly, and staff do not come to your door often if at all, which I have found to be a problem in the past. They will email you if they need to tell you something. It's close to Sheffield uni, and a tram can be taken to the train station within...
