I have had the pleasure of using Sheffield2Let accommodation services for a year; they provide students with a very modern and inexpensive means of living. If you are a student and looking for excellent accommodation and a brilliant location in the heart of the city, then look no further! These guys are fantastic, not only in terms of providing high quality flats, but also with consistent maintenance and regular quality checks on their properties. Whilst living in Walsh court, I found that it has a very friendly and homely community, whilst providing a vibrant and vivacious atmosphere with loads going on. The facilities which include free parking, bin removal services and a highly secure courtyard ensure a clean and sanitary environment where you can come and go as you please whilst feeling safe at all times. Being situated so close to West Street and Carver Street means that there is always a hive of activities no matter what you're into, whether that be fine dining (Cubanas) just outside on Trippet Lane, local ales and pubs with character (The Dog and Partridge and The Grapes - You're Welcome) or if you're looking to party long into the night there is always something new close by which you can pursue. The exterior of the property is very aesthetic and will likely attract the attention of many students looking to secure one of these luxurious apartments. When walking through the building you can’t help but feel that Sheffield2Let have quality checked every last detail. The building combines both modern craftsmanship and rustic brickwork to fine effect, creating a contemporary twist on an old-style Victorian building that lacks nothing in terms of character. Inside the apartment the glossed wooden floors and high rise wooden beams offer even more appeal to this exciting property. The rooms are all very large, bigger than any accommodation I have stayed in throughout my three years at University and provide tenants with attractive furnishings and a double bed. What more can you want you may ask; what about a gigantic open plan living room/kitchen area which is fully furnished with both a 40 inch Television and dishwasher – no more pesky cleaning up by hand fellow students. There is an abundance of cupboard space and both a large table where you can sit and eat your meals together and a lounge area to relax in after that long day of “studying”. Not to mention the all-inclusive bills and free WIFI, no more arguments about those irritating bills! All of Sheffield2Lets staff are very approachable and helpful when it comes to any issues that you may encounter providing tenants with an instant reply to any queries and are quick to rectify any problems. It was my pleasure to live here for a year and I am very reluctant to leave, couldn’t recommend...
Read moreAfter living in Sheffield as a student for 4 years, I can honestly say I haven't come across student accommodation quite up to the high standard provided by Sheffield 2 Let. Upon researching city centre accommodation last year we stumbled across a 5 bedroom flat in Walsh Court which was at the time being converted from offices.
Although at first sceptical about not seeing the finished flat before signing the contract, the Sheffield 2 Let team where brilliant giving us a sneaky peak as well as detailed plans for the flat - they also seemed genuinely excited about the conversion!
When the time came to move in everyone, including neighbouring flats, where pretty shocked at what we got for just £99 a week - the flat came standard with an old brick work feature wall which looked way to nice for students! There was also a brand new 42 inch tv wall mounted in front of the leather sofas, massive rooms (I literally had to buy a sofa to sill space!), DISHWASHER, parking (surprisingly for no extra cost) and even recycling downstairs to keep the environment nice and happy!
Putting aside all the gizmos included in the price the property itself is maintained to a very high standard. All the stairways, doors and general areas are cleaned regularly so they are always gleaming! Any problems at all the Sheffield 2 Let team are straight on the case - I was pleasantly surprised when i sent an email one evening to Deb about our bath seal getting damaged to find Jason and his team straight on the case the very next morning. This pretty much set the trend for the whole year - a big thank you to Dan, Deb and Jason for keeping the place as you do all year round!
Walsh Court in general location wise is perfect; set away enough from west street to have a very quiet, safe and private feel. With that said for a celebration night after a long day with head in the books you only have to walk a stones throw to be amongst Sheffield's best nightlife!
In summary all my friends who have been in my flat, even the ones who aren't students, are completely in ore of what I live in. After living here for a year I didn't hesitate to resign my contract through to 2015. Once again a big thank you to the Sheffield 2 Let team and if you are considering student accommodation in Sheffield you better get in there fast, the properties offered are an absolute bargain and will...
Read moreHaving lived in Sheffield for nearly 4 years as a student I can say that I have dipped my feet in both ends of the lake when it comes to accommodation experiences. Having endured the nauseating incompetence of a landlord who used our basement as a skip to harbour what can only be described as an adventure attraction for rodents; to refusing to fix the front door for a week in winter because one rent payment from a was housemate was late by 2 days, I can confidently say that my year at Walsh Court was a much needed breath of fresh air. Moving straight into brand new, spacious, rat-free flats was an exciting prospect to say the least. The landlord and his team managed to run the accommodation like clockwork, instantly responding to the few minor hindrances in a reflex like manor. The encounters and conversations I had with them were warm and friendly, which added to the experience as a whole. In this ever increasing property market where it is hard to find a reasonable flat, house or apartment without running into extortion, I was sceptical when I first heard of the £99 a week without the hassle of sorting out your own bills, as I am sure any student would be after 3 years of being ripped off by gas and electricity companies. However, to my delight there appeared to be no scam and Sheffield 2 Let remained true to their word. On entering the brand new property we had looked around months before as an empty hall the transformation was remarkable. It came equipped with novelties such as a 40" flat screen TV, and a dishwasher! Lastly, if that wasn't enough to make your mind up about the where you should stay next year it comes with the priceless location that leaves the town centre on your doorstep. Supermarkets, pubs, bars, clothing shops, nightclubs, all within a 3 minute walk from the car park (in which comes a free space with most of the flats). I hope I've managed to show my gratitude to Dan Elwood (landlord) and Deb through this report and I'd like to thank them personally for making this...
