We brought our daughter and neices to see santa and found this to be best experience for them. With our daughter being autistic the quiet atmosphere and relaxed feel to everything our her at ease. Even found a sensory room on the top floor. The 3 kids walked around and found the 9 reindeer hidden around the museum and them made there way to see Santa. The santa was the best santa we have ever been to see. He engaged with all 3 kids and wasn't fazed by my daughter struggling with the occasion he took it in his stride and won her round slowly. It also incudes a floor devoted to a number of famous artists who summered here. This includes a couple of Sargeant portraits and a photo facsimile of his famous "Carnation, Lily, Lily, Rose" work which was painted locally. Would have liked to see eg room recreations (limited space though), or more local ethnic stuff (not just postcards), or simply more exhibits. It's a tudor house but the most isn't made of it.
