We arrived just after 8 o’clock in the evening and on approaching back lane we managed to find car park 2 okay without problems. However, it was pitch black in the lane as there’s barely any lighting and no signs to tell you where the accommodation is. We could not locate the place therefore. I phoned the telephone number for out of hours assistance that is provided. Phoned it twice but was met by a very vague response from a woman on the other end of the phone who was not confident at all in helping us and didn’t seem to know where we were standing even though I said we were walking up and down back lane and I pointed out that I could see the George apartments which turns out you actually walked by to get to the lodge but she didn’t seem to know where we were and actually put the phone down on me after the second call which was not helpful at all after an hour and a half journey in the car! I did actually wonder if we were going to find our accommodation . It was really stressful if I’m honest . In the end, I ended up going into the Lygon arms where we had a 9 pm reservation for our wedding anniversary dinner and was met by the manager who got his concierge to walk me round to the apartments. Once we familiarised ourselves with the surroundings I realised that we were actually standing at the back of the apartments when I was on the| phone trying to navigate our way and the lady only need to say to me to walk straight ahead!!||Anyway, the room itself was clean, but there was a terrible rotten egg smell coming from the sink in the bathroom so much so that I boiled a kettle and poured it down to try and clear whatever was in it. Theroom was nice and bright, lovely touch having Roberts Radio. Nice they leave you fresh milk and chilled water in the fridge and the shower pressure was good. However, it was let down by the welcome really and smelly sink - and person we encountered needs a lesson in...
Read moreNice clean hotel. Warm and comfortable. Clear communication via emails prior to arrival. Un staffed hotel. Access code was sent just after 3pm. I had requested two single beds which had been confirmed by email but on arrival this wasn't the case. phoned the phone number given in correspondence and they admitted an error on their end. Was told nothing could be done about the beds that night and was offered an additional room free of charge. We decided to stick with our original room and was told the beds would be changed the next day, which did happen but only as we spoke to the woman from housekeeping who knew nothing about it. She was very polite and understanding and the job was done. I'm sure if we hadn't have seen her that morning we would have been left with the one bed still. The bathroom was large and clean but the trim on the shower screen was hanging off so needs fixing. There was a fridge in the room which is handy but the fridge was on top of a unit barely big enough to accommodate it and was hanging over one edge so was unstable and dangerous as when you opened the door the whole fridge wobbled towards you. Although there was automatic lighting on the stair way when we were in the corridor outside the room it was dark as the lighting didn't come on and we had to use our phone torch to see to use the door key. All these things are easily fixable. We stayed in the Hare room.|The lodge is only accessible by car down a narrow back lane and there are literally only 2 parking spaces allocated for the lodge. There are 2 carparks belonging to the Lygon hotel which can be used.|The Lodge is ideally placed for the high street with just a short walk through. Plenty of places to eat and drink and plenty of shopping experiences.|Overall a good stay. Broadway...
Read moreAbsolutely loved our stay ! The main good points were both the location of the hotel itself and the staff 👌
To summarise we initially stayed in the stratford limes hotel and were offered to move to warwick due to unforseen circumstances, we politely refused as it wasn't going to work for us at all so we came to an arrangement with the manager Emma who let us to stay here 😀
The location is absolutely perfect it's in the heart of Broadway and the café below is perfect for breakfast, it's also really tasty! You walk outside the building and you're in the heart of a wonderful show village with lots of quiant shops
The staff I can honestly say the staff here and at the previous hotel made our stay amazing they went above and beyond for us in particular I'd like to say that Emma was extremely attentive and helpful and gave us wonderful advice too
I'm looking forward to my next trip here some day as the room was amazing and the experience overall was...
