This USED to be a much better store. But in the past year -- and also moving to a new location just next door, it's gone slightly downhill when it comes to certain inventory, sadly some employees I've dealt with recently..seem they rather be elsewhere.
The website also does not match what is in the store also and I've had issues with a few employees even bothering to look in the back or anywhere for stock. I needed the new City Phillies cap for my nephews BDay, site stated "In Store Pickup at WG, for the adjustable" - Also a certain City Phillies shirt I get there(which showed this 'available stock' for 3, 4 days) and nope, just a few expensive fitted for larger heads, shirt was no where to be found. Not the first time, I dealt with this w/ and Eagles hat - again stated 'in stock' on website, female employee had a total miserable attitude and stated "if its not on the wall, it's not here."
Male employee too busy chatting, joking w/ co worker stated "we dont have them." I ended up driving totally out of my way to Montgomeryville location, a far smaller store... and they had PLENTY in stock along with the Phillies shirt I needed.
Few years ago I ran into the same "in stock" issue, the item was not on the floor..and the employee was very cool and checked the back room. Seemed the item was scanned in, but not on the floor. Saved me aggravation and time!
Not a horrific store by any means, they have an incredible collection, quite a few styles I've never seen anywhere else...prices can be a bit pricy on some items/brands. (Antigua, the usual Nike brand) Thats just the way it is, I understand...it's normal pricing with them. It is a far better store compared to a locations next store in the WG Mall, even a slew of better, wide selection of caps compared to Lids hats...
Read moreAlyssa deserves a big raise! I ordered a jersey online from the Oxford Valley store, the confirmation email said ready for pick up after 5pm. Went the next day only to be told it wasnt ready and later to find out it was out of stock and they were transferring my order to the Willow Grove store. I asked how I would know what was going on and the person I spoke to didn't really have an answer. I called the Willow Grove store myself (its annoying but you have to call 3 times and curse at automated attendant to get through to the actual store). Alyssa actually cared enough to want to help to get my order processed! She called me back after looking into everything, she had to call corporate regarding the payment, she really went above and beyond! Its rare nowadays to find people who care enough to go the extra length like that and with that she should be rewarded! Thank you...
Read moreThe place is just jammed packed with merchandise. The problem is most of it is inferior quality and not the latest styles. It's organized by teams/ college but other than that very confusing and chaotic the way items are displayed- many out of reach in the walls, or mixed things like long sleeve polo shirts with just ling sleeve t-shirts. Clearance items look like things from the 70's but with prices slightly below full price. My suggestion for collegiate apparel at least, if local, just go to the campus store- better quality, more variety with latest styles and the same if not lower...
