Great place for affordable seasonal fruits and veg, but I wouldn’t shop there for most other grocery items.
Cute local market, nice variety of fruits, vegetables, and other groceries. Some things (mostly produce) were pretty reasonably priced while others seemed pretty expensive - if you’re willing to shop around you can get a decent amount of food without spending too much. We got enough veggies to make a week’s worth of meals for around $20 (no meat or dairy in our cart).

Read moreThis is my go-to place for fresh produce. They have great stuff, with occasional specials that are surprisingly good. (Example: big bag o' salad for very little.)
They also do special requests. When I said I wanted to make peach jam the next weekend, they (Dan?) went out to a farm on the appointed morning and got me a flat of just-picked, organic peaches. The price was lower than I expected.

Read moreI love dan's - the produce is relatively affordable, local, sometimes organic, and fresh. It is open decent hours, the employees are nice enough (although not special), and it has a decent selection.
They also have a "near expiration" bin of really cheap stuff. If you dehydrate or really need something on the cheap and are a "iron chef" style cook. Mosey over, buy what is on the cheap bin and cook it for your next meal.
