I would like to first mention that this was the first champion express car wash I started going to when I moved to Albuquerque, New Mexico The location I am emailing regarding this complaint is 10705 Central Ave NE Albuquerque New Mexico, 87123 On February 21 at 12pm-12:30pm It’s been months of not going to this location I happen to go in and wanted to renew my membership. They had a deal going on for $10.79! Amazing to pass I pay with my debit card. As I swiped my card information it cleared said approved, but the lever did not go up to let me pass. A Employee came to check and see what was the hold. I explained to him that I had a payment process on my end on my bank and he asked me to use a different card so I did the gentleman swipe my card 4 to 5 times kept getting notifications from my bank that I had these payments processing. I asked him if he can stop swiping my debit and credit card and get somebody to see what we can do. The next employee comes up and tells me to swipe it again and I told him go ahead and do it one more time and it went through again on my end but nothing on theirs I even went to another tollbooth after six cars past me. I began to get frustrated and asked can I just go through and I’ll go into the office and figure this out since your district leader and manager are there they said no you need to go and talk to them first their names are Victoria and Amanda. I’m already stressed out now that I’ve been sitting for about 10 minutes with these guys. I go into the lobby/Office and I see one of them sitting on top of the counter on her phone and the other by the service desk and I speak with Amanda. I show her my card information and she tells me there’s nothing she can do because everything still pending on my end and if it does clear then I won’t need to worry about requesting my money back I asked is there anyway I can go through since the main reason I came here today was to get my car washed? She said absolutely not because I haven’t gotten charged or the lever would have went up! All my life I’ve been in customer service, to avoid a unhappy customer, I would do my utmost to help this customer who has now gone inside the office to speak with a manager and show frustration of what I just experienced from the employees continuously swiping my card after I asked him to stop doing that after showing what I was seeing on my end, unfortunately it seemed like her only concern was telling me no that she can’t help me with getting my car washed and no that she can’t help me with the transactions because they’re pending. I couldn’t care any less about the membership processing at this point. I just wanted to make a quick stop to get my vehicle ready for my busy weekend!

Read moreMaybe this was just a fluke experience, because I have had heard a lot of positive feedback about this place. This place is where my girlfriend gets her oil changed on her vehicle. She likes the place and today to help her out I took her vehicle in for its routine oil change. I pulled in at 4:30pm, and noticed only one car was being vacuumed out. With no other cars or people alround I pulled to the end thinking I would be next in line. The end area was all coned off as if they were closed. I turned around and parked closer to the entrance. I walked inside expecting an employee at the register. With nobody in sight I returned outside were the one vehicles was being vacuumed. I asked the gentleman (not sure if he worked there), if they were open? He just pointed and said inside. I returned inside where I could here a conversation being held. I found at the register three people, 2 in the mid teens ( 1 sitting on the counter ), and 1 maybe pushing 20 with the register open counting the money. I asked if they are closed, need oil change. The oldest said yes, opens tomorrow at 8am. I ask what time do they close, thinking I was just to late today. She stated at 5:30pm. I informed her that it was not even 5 yet. She said that she knew. Read moreThis is our best car wash service in town. I used to go to Octopus but it was never as good as Rain Tunnel, but it was close and cheap. Now that Octopus was bought by Misters, I come to the Rain Tunnel. Misters did not do a good job and this made me realize the Rain Tunnel is just amazing! I always assumed pet hair could not easily be removed from a car. These guys are so good at it, it's crazy. Honestly, for $20 it's very affordable. I'm not sure why I waited so long to make this my go to place. This place does use cleaning tools that touch your vehicle. This is not a pressure jet only place.
There are vacuums and trash cans for cleaning prior to purchasing a cleaning package. At this location you purchase your cleaning package at an electronic service kiosk from your car. It will print you a ticket you give to an attendant. You drive onto the wheel rail yourself. You are asked to make sure all your windows are up and the car is in neutral. You will stay in the car as it is machine washed. After going through a dryer, you drive to a service station that cleans the inside of the car (if purchased). While you wait for the inside to be cleaned, there is a small store where you pick out your air freshener and can by car goodies and ssnacks.The full process takes about 20 minutes.
