I am so confused how I feel about this place?!
After seeing my room I thought this was going to be my best hotel night stay in two weeks travel!! It wound up being my worst hotel stay in two weeks travel.
The location overlooks the city which is beautiful at night, but itās very, very difficult to find parking if you arrive late. Parking is not available on all sides of the hotel. Use your imagination and you know what this is going to be like.
Biggest room for this price while traveling. Overall, I liked the layout.
The bed was soft, and comfortable.
It appears as though you cannot shut the blinds completely, but there are blackout blinds, discreetly hidden closest to the window.
The air conditioning work nicely
The closet was large
The TV can be adjusted in various angles.
The Jacuzzi was down (6-29-25) š„ŗš¢š So was the guest laundry (because of the dryer I was told ). This was the last hotel we were renting after traveling for two weeks. We arrived extra early just to get into the Jacuzzi. We had been unable to do so our entire trip, due to traveling long nights. We also arrived early so I could get some laundry done before finally arriving in my own home and needing to get straight back to work. This was a MAJOR DISAPPOINTMENT. I could have booked a room somewhere else had I known. I would not have paid as much for a room, as well.
The rooms kitchen is wonderful! I didnāt see any pots pans or dishes, but Iām sure they would be available upon request? You may want to investigate in advance?
We headed back to the room to watch TV since we werenāt going to be able to do laundry while we were in the Jacuzzi⦠Only to find out that the TV was messed up all night!! 1-2xs a minute it would flash āSearching... If you are experiencing inclement weather blah blah....ā We werenāt. The weather was fine. We had trouble getting it to change channels as well.
I was really impressed with the size of the bathroom. Thereās a nice separate area for the toilet. I do wonder why, since the kitchen is so big, are the ice bucket/ and cups in the bathroom?? NOT the āclear first choiceā. 𤮠There is only one shower door. It is built into the wall. Therefore, no matter how careful you are, you wind up getting the bathroom floor wet. Of course there is a bathmat, but I spent more time worrying about making a mess than enjoying my shower.
I went to breakfast the next morning. Itās available until 10am which is nice! There were plenty of tables to choose from, for seating. They had several different breakfast options, but not as good as the other places Iāve seen. The eggs were dry. The sausage looked terrible. The room itself smelled āspicyā? (Maybe the sausage or something?). There were only one kind of eggs. There was only one kind of sausage. They were out of muffins. There was only one kind of bagel. The fruit looked like they were last choices at the grocery store. It was unappealing enough, that I decided to skip it. Overall, it was the worst hotel breakfast I had seen my entire trip. I really had trouble putting my finger on why, but then I looked back at some of the other breakfasts at other hotels, and it was just lack of options, more than anything. Some hotels would have 3 different kinds of bagels. The yogurts were even smaller than the last hotels.
There was coffee in the room, in the lobby, at breakfast! I was very pleased with the coffee bars. I like Keurig machines better, but Iām just pleased when I see coffee and itās not out.
Overall, the room is spacious and incredibly large. It is clean. The price was reasonable compared to other hotels across the nation. If it had not been for the unappealing, dried out smelly breakfast, the broken Jacuzzi, the broken dryer, the wet shower floor, and the faulty TV I would have given it a much better rating. I take my ratings very seriously on Google maps and I donāt want to mislead people into thinking that their stay will be better than it will be.
My check-in Girl, was back in time to check me out. Thatās...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreNo one should ever experience being bullied or threatened by a hotel, especially over a legitimate review. My experience with Comfort Suites was nothing short of unprofessional and unacceptable. From the moment the issue arose, the hotelās management, particularly the owner Tristan, handled the situation with hostility rather than professionalism.
Instead of calmly addressing the situation, Tristan chose to yell at me over the phone, insisting my teammate was in the wrong while failing to acknowledge the hotelās own mistakes. His aggressive approach and unwillingness to engage in a professional conversation made it clear that he was more concerned with proving a point than resolving the issue. The situation escalated further when hotel staff repeatedly knocked on my doorāboth before and after dinnerājust to reinforce their stance and demand that my teammate remove her review.
This went beyond poor customer service; it became outright intimidation. No guest should be harassed, threatened, or forced to retract their opinion simply because the hotel doesnāt like what was said. When we refused to remove the review, Tristan resorted to baseless accusations, claiming I was "harboring a fugitive" and threatening to have me removed. His behavior was erratic, unprofessional, and completely inappropriate for someone in a leadership position at a hospitality business.
Ultimately, security was sent to my door to escort me off the propertyānot for violating any hotel policy, but simply because someone (not me) left an honest review. When I asked for clarification on why I was being removed, I was told it was for defamationāa laughable excuse for silencing criticism.
No guest should ever be treated this way. The intimidation, bullying, and complete lack of professionalism I experienced at Comfort Suites is appalling. If this is how they handle feedback, I canāt imagine what other guests have endured. I would never stay here again and do not recommend. No one should have to worry about being harassed, threatened, or kicked out simply for sharing their...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreI think the staff at comfort suites Albuquerque airport, as a whole, might be the most friendly, helpful, welcoming staff I've ever encountered at a motel. When we needed a shuttle from the airport, we called the front desk, and it was actually the front desk person who answered who came to pick us up. Everything just felt very personal and friendly. The room was spacious with a little area that included a couch. The room was clean, everything worked, and the bed was quite comfortable. We had planned to only stay here on our first night of our vacation. But when the airline changed our flight departure time so that it felt like driving from another location and catching a flight on the same day was going to be difficult, we decided to stay the night before our flight out in Albuquerque. We had such a good experience on that first night that we called the same motel to reserve a room for our last night. Everybody, the cleaning people, the maintenance person, everybody was just so pleasant and friendly. I had an issue with the TV remote, went down to the desk to see if it needed a battery, and they sent a maintenance person back with me to immediately figure out the problem. The breakfast buffet at this motel was also better than the norm. I know I should mention the staff members by name with whom we interacted, but I'm not sure of all their names. I do know that Jacob was one very friendly and helpful front desk person, and Tristan the manager happened to be around when we were checking out and we found him to be just a delight. There were a few women whose names I'm unsure of, I think Cece was one, and...
